This gorgeous and serene park is definitely worth the Metro trip to the suburbs. Easy to get to as well, just exit at the eponymous station and follow the signs to the park. You will be greeted by lush gardens à la Versailles, ancient Roman columns, an 18th century palace, and even a Spanish Civil War bunker (although the latter is not open to the public). The highlight of your visit will be the Monument to Bacchus, a picturesque Roman edifice placed on the top of a hill deep inside the park. Be advised that El Capricho is only open during the weekends, so you need to plan ahead! See more..

We came here for the day from the city centre Madrid. We were on a hen do. We managed to get a bus from the city centre to the water park. We had pre-booked our tickets and a VIP area for 89 Euros but we still had to queue outside in the line. Our VIP area was good as it includes chairs and sun loungers, lockers and our own private space. This was definitely worth it for the 7 of us. The park was actually a lot bigger than we expected as it has some great slides. We didn’t really have to queue that long for any of them. They have a wave pool and lazy river as well. They have a beach bit with sand. Overall it was a good day out and we had great fun. Something to do which is a bit different while staying in Madrid. See more..

I live in Getafe and have been very jealous of friends living in the centre who go to Retiro all the time but then I stumbled across this park. I went on a Sunday and the weather was great but it is so beautiful, big water features and lots of bridges/walk ways to see it all. The park is huge and seems to stretch for ages so there is lots of walking to do. Lots of dogs and ducks and even terrapins so it's a great place for families etc. There are benches with tables and a small children play area and outdoor 'gym' bit. There are also water fountains which is good because it gets so hot and these have a high bit for people and a lower bowl for dogs :) See more..

Hoy me visitado este parque que me habían recomendado. Está genial. Esta junto a la plaza de toros de Getafe y hay que ir con ropa cómoda, avituallamiento y ganas de pasarlo bien. Tienen toboganes gigantes, instrumentos musicales, tirolinas, etc. Los niños lo pasarán en grande.
