   Monterrico volcano is a small volcano, located in Agua Blanca, Jutiapa. Here's what I found while visiting for the first time: Climate. The climate was warm and dry. Trail. The trail is dry and dusty. You should avoid bringing shorts because there are a lot of tree branches and small plants that could scratch you. Make sure you ask someone who knows the trail to come with you, the path is clear but there are some places in which you could easily choose the wrong path. Time. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the top. View. I would have loved to have lunch at the top, the view was great. See more..

   Here's my review of the first time visiting Chingo volcano: Climate. The climate was warm and moist. The sun does not hit you directly because of all the trees around you and it rained the night before. Trail. The trail is really nice. It does not have stairs or anything similar. You should always go with someone who knows the way, because you could easily get lost. Time. It took the group about 3 hours to get to the top. I think it should take less time though, we hiked at a very low pace. And it took about 1.5-2 hours to get back down. View. The view from the top is amazing. You can see the fog and when it clears, you can see the lagoons and other mountains. It is worth it. Overall I think it is a nice volcano. Loved the weather and the trail. See more..
