   We hiked the volcano on july 2016. Hike was not very difficult and took is about an hour. There is another route that can take directly to the top by vehicle(4x4). At the top there is 3 lookout stations. The villagers offer food at a reasonable price. Camping is also available and you can swim in the lake. On weekends you rent a small paddle boat.    It has an easy access to the farm from the paved road. We drove our SUV over the dirt road without any problem. I saw cars driving to the farm as well as moto taxis which I suppose they come from Esquipulas city center. You can ask one of them to take you if you do not want to drive. I do not know the cost of transportation. Once you arrive, You get to walk around the field on your own at your own pace once you get to the place. There is a small market where you can buy water, sodas and snacks. Also, there are restrooms you can use. You can also bring your own food and have it there since there are picnic tables and hammocks to relax. I will definitely recommend a visit if you go to Esquipulas and want to do something dealing with nature....you will be surprised how big this sunflowers are.... See more..

   La Iglesia de la Trinidad fue el centro de la ciudad en la epoca de la colonizacion por los españoles, sin embargo desde hace mas de 200 años se destrullo y unicamente quedaron las ruinas, nunca se sustituyo la Iglesia y el terreno no se toco mas, sin embargo las ruinas siguen en pie y estan siendo utlizadas como fachada para eventos culturales y para visitas a estudiantes locales, es una parte de chiquimula muy interesante por visitar, y lo mejor es conocer la historia See more..
