   If you enjoy hiking in the woods under the canopy, climbing rocks, and riding on horseback through mud and dust; if you love nature and can be moved by the that which is awesome, if you enjoy tales from countrymen, you will love El salto de Chilascó wihch is the tallest waterfall in Central America. Even though I was not able to reach the bottom of the waterfall (and my partner did), I so much had a great time and adventure here. Although guides and horses are not needed (technically) they do add fun, safety and stories, and good company, our guides were Julio and Erick. When it is not high season you can be almost by yourself in the woods. You and the thunder of the waterfall. Be sure to go when it is not raining. Bring water and snacks. See more..
