   This was amazing. We walked across the dunes. Yes, it is hot. And the sand is not enough to burn your feet. Go early, take water and wear closed toe shoes. Once you crest that last dune and look out at the untouched beach of the Caribbean, it will take your breath away. I am so glad we left the busy crowds of Bávaro to explore the Dunes of Bani. Well worth the trip. And we stayed across the street at Sava Salinas. So relaxing and quiet and wonderful. See more..

   Centro Cultural Perello is a great place to visit. Their focus is to give back to people. Every year for the past six they have a free Christmas concern with great national artists and with the National Philarmonic Orchestra that is worth the visit (This is my second year). They even provide free transportation from Santo Domingo to the center if you go to the concert (located in Bani at about 40 minutes from the capital). A modern and clean facility with an art show that changes is a refreshing place to visit. See more..
