   Really enjoyed our walk up this mountain with the Shanghai Outing Club. It was raining most of the day and very humid. The walk is basically up a valley to the top (1000m) and down another valley. Walk up was stone stairs, walk down is on a natural footpath. Lots of water falls - some visible, others not, but great to walk and hear the rushing water. It’s a stiff walk up, so be prepared. It’s also worth doing the extra section to the peak, lovely views, especially if the weather is clear. We had lunch at a restaurant about 2/3rds the way up. You need to be reasonably fit to do this and have good walking shoes. See more..

   If you are interested in village life of the past centuries, this is worth a drive into the hills by paddies, tea groves and DongBai Hu lake. Si zhai means the home of "Si" and the clan has lived here continuously for 1000 years! The village is situated by a river and surrounded by scenic mountains. Highlights include an ancestral shrine Hua Guo gong (華國公）, a residential complex supported by a thousand columns （千柱屋） built by a successful merchant, and an elementary school (斯民小學）. There's also an exhibition hall depicting famous women in the history of ancient China; that includes goddesses and deities.     4月底又一次去爬了诸暨牌头的斗岩，还是和QQ同学，这个时节天气很美，走在上山的石阶上，被四周葱郁的绿包围着，吮吸着清新的气息，真的很能迷醉于此。
    这次也是一路往上，不过最最特别的是，这次在那边伯伯的指引下，我坚定地朝山顶爬去也。路很小很陡，我穿着个坡跟的单鞋，有点点佩服自己，一路往上冲，感觉还是很爽的。不过实在是累，气喘吁吁但是又不敢停，中途我想过不爬了，可是心里又冒上来一个声音不允许自己就这样退缩，就哼哧哼哧继续爬，嘿嘿，挺快的我就到观日石上了，俯瞰下面的田野、公路、村子，心情很特别啊。
