   this is a place where the lady Yang who dead, lady Yang is the most famous imperial concubine and she's fat but beautiful. We live not far away, and always go there and have food, traditional food and really local constructions, people and other historic items, really worthy to go. it's around 1h from Xi'an by car, and plenty of parking place if you go there early. besides the Ma Wei Yi, you can also visit some museum around. there's a very cute and small hotel inside, you can try that if you go there at afternoon. but needn't spend the whole day stay. Attention please, it's a small town, and you may not find too many people speak english there, and it's better to go with some local friends to help you order things : ) See more..

   This section of the Li River is printed on the back of the Y20 bill.The sun setting between the mountains was beautiful. The cormorants are so used to people, getting close to the bird I was photographing was not an issue for the bird. Wide angle lens are not preferred for portrait work. See more..

   Wudi has been mentioned a number of times in the history of China associated with the Huns in the years around 100 BC. One of his two great generals of the Western Han dynasty, Huo Qubing, was buried here. The place is very peaceful and beautiful, with several small exhibition rooms to learn more about Huo Qubing and his time.    A short drive from city if Xian, this imposing site of one of the greatest Chinese emperors of all time, a visit is definitely a must. Take in the splendour of the bygone era and appreciate the history behind the man and his close associates. Particularly interesting was his tragic general Huo who died at a tender age of 24 and was mourned by his beloved emperor.
