   Wahuang palace is really a huge architectural complex that includes a large park with beautiful lakes (including Sky-Mending lake), multiple temples, art work, a huge statue of Nuwa Goddess (people come to her to ask for children), and of course the beautiful ancient palace on the top of the mountain (it takes a bit of work to climb up there - so if you are traveling in the summer, get there early and bring water). The view from the top of the mountain is really breathtaking! And the palace is so interesting - there are caves with ancient statues, locks for the kids who were born thanks to the Goddess; you have a chance to get some luck by aiming at one of the small bells with a coin, etc. There are restrooms on the top of the mountain. And the last stop to get food&drinks is once you pass the sculpture of the Goddess, before you start your way up to the Palace. There we had an unusual dish - it is like a cold starch soup (tapioca-like) that doesn't have much flavor on its own, but the foodcart lady adds a whole bunch of spices to it so it was not bad at all - definitely worth trying.
