We arrived to the Nuanquanzhen and were lucky to park in front of Nuanquan academy. The ticket seller from the academy was so nice - she showed us ( 4 foreigners) the academy and also the West Castle. Castle is being reconstructed and inside there are expositions about the ancient way of life - farming , ancient beds, cutlery etc. There are not only amazing spots for photographers as well you as you can also get to see the locals who are still living inside the castle. We visited during National holiday week but there was practically no tourists which was very refreshing. The tradition of "da shuhua" 打树花 is one of the attractions in Nuanquanzhen. A real highlight after the dissaster place for the 5 buddha mountain. It is dirty inside and not well maintained but the cave it self is real a highlight. Climbing inside the stairs is a bit danger and u need to take good care. Childrens i would not take upstairs as it is danger and the handrail is rusting since couple of years. See more..

Lots of animals. Most of them you can feed or touch for a price (10-20Y). For the same price you can take a picture with animals or feed them. Most animals have space to roam around. Drive through or take a train through with places to get off. The animal show was heartbreaking. The coyote and some other animals had broken spirits and hated doing their "tricks". The only ones that seemed to enjoy performing were the dogs. Lots of places to eat (mostly junk food). There is a reasonable restaurant where the rides are. If you like zoos, you will like this place. If you love animals, don't go. Save up and go on safari in Africa. TIP: Your kids will want to feed the animals. Bring veggies (carrots, cucumbers, etc. for the rabbits, kangaroos, etc. and leafy veggies for other animals such as giraffes). Save money and don't buy animal food there. TIP: Go off season when there are fewer people. The animals are still there but less crowds. See more..

This attraction is made for kids-6-12 years old. May not be safe for younger kids and older kids will think it's juvenile. The park has lots of interesting things to see-a long slide, swings, water games, etc. the house is mostly stuff like windows set sideways, mirrors, strange passageways, etc. Worth a trip if you are already in Qinhunagdao. We visited this with my young son (18 months old) on a cloudy day in September 2015. The aquarium itself is an average size with a decent collection of fresh & salt water fish, turtles and seals. Many of the informational panels about the fish are in English & Chinese, making it easier to figure out what type of fish you are looking at. We paid 100RMB per person to get access to both this attraction plus the 'Dolphin Show' which is across the parking lot. Overall it is a basic aquarium and worth a visit if you have small kids.
