   We had a lot of fun here. You take a boat and ride through and look at the caves and it is really beautiful. Reminded me of Tales from the Crypt or Indiana Jones...I'd take a friend who has never been...it is a must in Benxi and in Liaoning province. See more..

   汤沟国家森林公园坐落于辽东本溪县东南部著名的汤沟风景名胜区境内，距沈阳130公里，距本溪水洞35公里。公园面积2167公顷，森林覆盖率95%，绿石谷是三大景区之一。这里是绿色的海洋，天然氧吧。绿石成为该景点一大特色。2014年7月12日，星期六，吃过早饭，驾着我的爱车小猎豹上了沈丹高速到本溪，经本溪——小市——关门山来到汤沟国家森林公园绿石谷风景区。
   绿石谷门票40元，进车费10元，往里开200米就是停车场。我脱下凉鞋，换上新买的运动鞋，揣了一瓶矿泉水进入绿石谷。谷里的石头特别滑，刚进谷口，就给我来个下马威，我不忍心踩在植被完好的石头上，想选块光滑的石头落脚拍照，结果一下子就滑倒在没膝深的水里，为了保护好相机，我敏捷地来个鲤鱼翻身，相机虽完好无损，可我下半身全湿了，一直湿到腰，内裤也透了，好难受。拿着相机的右臂鹰突关节处划破一道口子，鲜血缓缓渗出来，鞋里的水顺着透气孔流出去，残留的水存在鞋壳里，顾不了这些了，见到美景就什么都忘了。 See more..

   Before coming to this national park in CHINA, I have already admired autumn colours in Korea, Europe, New England. I was pleasantly surprised that the autumn foliage was in much greater abundance in this national park in autumn compared to Korea & Europe. We were welcomed with a riot of colours ranging from golden yellow to orange&scarlet.     The park area is only a few years old and on the whole is well laid out and nicely planted with mainly local trees. Lots of walks and cycle paths but watch out in the early evening for hordes of locals on exercise runs etc. A few toilets are scattered thinly about but no paper or taps to wash hands etc. afterwards. Very few places to grab a bite and certainly no coffee seen anywhere in the park. My biggest problem is with the maps posted throughout the park, they are all the wrong way round, and thinking this may be a cultural thing I asked several Chinese citizens what they thought and after showing them what I meant, 100% they agreed! New cafe opened this year (called Victoria cafe) on town side of river,is also the place to hire Jet-Ski's, canoes, and take boat trips, best thing there by a long, long way. See more..
