We have visited this beach a few times. Through the week it is quiet but weekends are local family gathering times.Beaides being crowded and having loads of big blow up seams and boats on the beach , If you are western woman and used to wearing a swimming costume ( mine is one piece and not high cut) you will be stared at , especially by the men ( I am also in my 50s !). All the local women wear Islamic dress to swim in also. In addition there is rubbish. There is a beach around the corner where we had a picnic with our local friends and it is littered with rubbish. The locals don't seem to mind and drop rubbish everywhere. Western tourists will stop coming when the rubbish gets worse and starts to float in the beautiful clear waters of this beach. A sad inevitability as locals don't see the ramifications of fouling their own nest.See more..
Admittedly the beach is pretty, the water crystal clear and there is decent snorkelling to be done. However I did not feel comfortable leaving my bag with my camera in the beach while I was swimming far (because the sea is quite shallow). There some locals around which were a little bit staring at me (my bag?). My advice is to not bring valuable wit you, and enjoy the location which is actually beautiful. There are seafood restaurants nearby where you can have fresh fish for cheap.See more..
Malin Kundang is a Minangkabau legend. It told about a seditious boy who did not want to admit a poor lady as his biological mother. Then he was cursed into a stone. You may see the stone on the Air Manis Beach. However it's dirty, we can see garbage every where.See more..
We enjoy the visit while eat lunch at RM Batu Garuda. The food is Delicious & cheap, but took a super long time to serve. The beach is quieter than Tanjung Tinggi but we don’t see any proper shower for cleaning up after playing at the beach. Only at the restaurant we saw a water station to clean up.See more..

House lights from every direction turning on . As I look to the left I can see the city lights around Bengkulu Indah Mall (BIM) Pantai Panjang. Transforming the city from its usual hustle and bustle of the day. In the distance I can hear a dog barking, and a faint child's laughter. Taking another sip of my coffee, I hear the shoes coming . It's not really clear water but the sand is white and filled with beautiful natural life there (not shark nor jellyfish), it's not secluded but pretty quiet, not many people, in fact at some point, we're the only people. To get in to this beach, you must pay for 10k rupiahs/person, which you can change your ticket with the free mineral water or coffe/tea in the restaurant inside. When I visited this place, it's no other visitor, so I felt like having my private beach. It's a nice beach with the wave is calm, so it's safe to swim here. See more..

One of any other beach in Lapung that i visit last year. This place is good one, quietly atmoshphere and better than Pasir Putih Beach. I ride my car from Pringsewu to Mutun Beach, its around 1,5 hours. Then, i bought the ticket 10.000IDR for1 person. And from Mutun you can accross the sea to the island in front of Mutun Beach. You can take a 20-25 minute by ridding boat, and you should pay for 20.000IDR. Maybe the local government should have a program to maintance about the district entertainment in Lampung, especially infrastucture.See more..

If you go to Penyusuk Beach I suggest you to go islands around the beach. There are two islands: Putri Island and Lampu Island. If you want to swim go to Putri Island because the wave is quite calm than Lampu Island. But if you searching for quietness just go to Lampu Island. To crossing the Island you can use traditional boat. For your information I rent boat to Putri Island and Lampu Island IDR 200.000/7 persons and IDR 75,000/1 equipment for snorkeling. So, if you use boat, it will take you to island and then leave you there. If want to back to Penyusuk Beach you must call the boat driver by phone. So, make sure your cellphone provider available on Bangka Island. My suggestion use tel***sel to call the boat driver and don't forget to save their number. But if that happen don't worry because usually they sail around the island, so that you can meet them without make any call.See more..

One of my favorite beaches in Bangka Island is Matras Beach. The location can be reached about 1,5 hours from Pangkalpinang Airport. The cost is cheaper than Paray Beach. You only pay IDR 5,000 / person or IDR 20,000 / car . The sand is very soft and white. The view is fantastic. You can swim, barbeque, play volley ball, watch the sunset, or just walk along the coast there. Eventhough there is no hotel, you can stay in the Paray cottages or hotels. The beach is close to Bukit Lamreh (Lamreh Hill) the most popular hill in Krueng Raya which not many tourist know that place because it's hidden place.
