Joaquina is a great beach. It has a selection of bars and restaurants on the beach front. It has a car park and bus stop, with it being an affordable cab or uber from nearby towns and accommodation. It has good surf and you can rent surfboards at the beach. It also has the normal Brazilian beach facilities of umbrella and chair rental. Nearby are large sand dunes where you can explore or go sand boarding. A downside is it will take a while to get to from the city centre.See more..
Staying on the cable car from Balneario Camboriu take you over the hill to the beach at Laranjeiras which is situated in a pretty small cove. The beach has restaurants and gift shops but can become very crowded during the summer months.See more..

Absolutely loved this beach! We stayed towards the mid to South of the beach away from the hustle and bustle of the Middle of the beach. This area was still happening and had a great vibe yet we had plenty of room and had the attention of the beach bar service men the whole time. Beautiful beach with great mid size waves for a surf. This is one of the most picturesque place on the island. First, there is a lovely beach where surf beginners can practice. Then, this is a charming Portuguese fishing village. The village and the harbor are located on the river that links the backcountry lagoons to the ocean. There are many cormorants waiting for fish. The fishermen are the descendants of Portuguese emigrants from the Azores. The village is also a wildlife center for marine turtles and there is natural park on the shores of the lagoon (Lagoa do Conciçao).See more..

Having visited Balneário Camboriú many times over the last 15 years we have enjoyed many a happy holiday here. The town benefits from a very long and sandy beach with calm waters and a wealth of bars and restaurants along its length on Av. Atlantica with shops and other amenities a short walk away on Av. Brasil which runs parallel to the beach. The beach can become very busy over the summer months especially during the weekends and around carnival. The southern end of the beach is generally quieter than the central area in front of Ilha das Cabras. At the southern end of the beach you can take the cable car up to Parque Unipraias Camboriu whilst at the northern end of the beach there are walkways leading to the lovely beaches Prainha and Praia do Buraco. I loved this beach. You hike around 2 hours to reach the beach and then you can climb to the view point which is another 45 minutes. On the beach you can find small bars but no food. I visited this place in March of this year. If you enjoy the adventure sepultura beach is your place. It is separated by a hill. On the First beach there are a bar and a place for renting snorkel, this is place to spend time with kids or old people. On the finish of the beach we can find a steep passage whose way takes you towards other beach, there are a beautiful landscape and differents types of fishes in the sea. in my opinion you will need a pair of aquatic sneakers because when you are in the steep passage there are moss and sharp rocks and maybe you can hurt your feet. So in my opinion second beach isnt a place for visiting with kids or old people. And i am share you a secret if you have lucky, you will see a sea turtles. To visit that area, you need to make a special trip for it. This is a day trip. You have a small village sleepy of sea on, too crowded at summer time lying down the lagoa. This is the single access to the beaches. Except if you are a good swimmer and you do not carry with you anything that needs to be waterproof, the only access to the beaches is by hiring on the spot small boats to cross the laguna waters. This is one of the least visited beaches on the island of Santa Catarina, Brazil. For this reason, it is a great place to go. All the other beaches (all 41 of them) are also great, especially those in the East and South, but this one is special. There are a couple of bars where you can buy fish and drink caipirinhas (or beer), but the main attraction is the beach and the water, which is generally calm (not a surfing beach) and warm. Fishing boats come in occasionally and you can buy fish from them, but it´s not a big fishing beach like Pantano do Sul (another of our favorites). There is also a fort, of course (hence the name, "Praia do Forte"), but it´s not very interesting. Praia de Naufragados is one of the beauties of Florianópolis and is located in the southern end of the Santa Catarina Island. It can be reached only on foot or by boat. I went there early in the morning on foot through the trail and it took me one hour to get there. Besides the cliffs and woods, the landscape is worthwhile. I visited the lighthouse and enjoyed the beach a lot. It was possible to see the remains of one of the forts that protected the Island against invasor some centuries ago. I had lunch in one of the restaurants and rested under a beautiful tree in front of it. After this, I swam in a small river near there. I came back in the evening through the same trail. Happiness and gratefulness I was feeling in the end of the day for what the nature offered me.See more..

Approx. 90km south of Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, there's a great and still unspoiled beach. Mostly surfers and cool gauchos (people from Rio Grande do Sul). I usually stay @ Morada Prainha, up on the hill, greast beach view, individual cabans with kitchen, grill for barbecue and hammock. The owner, Marcia is ultra friendly and a dog lover. Perfect cost/benefit. In the evening, dinner at the Mormai restaurant in Garopaba, with lounge music and great fish. For breakfast, just off the hill of Silveira in front of Mormai there's a tiny hut with great juices, cereals, natural sandwiches and those protein stuff that healthy people love. Be prepared to see some of the best bodies in Brazil. Make sure to buy a Brazilian bikini (girls) or sunga (guys). See more..
