  1. 5.0 Bet She'an National Park (578 reviews)
    - Very interesting
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM National Parks
    Bet She'an National Park image
We visited in the evening for She'an nights. We accidentally booked a Hebrew tour instead of an English tour and they were SO accommodating. Our guide, Asher, re-ran the movie part in English and then toured us privately in English through Bet She'an, while the other guide (I think Gadi) gave the Hebrew tour that Asher was supposed to do. What a wonderful experience. Educational and Interesting. We highly recommend putting this on your agenda. See more..

Gan HaShlosha /Sachneh National Park is well known in Northern Israel for its beautiful landscaping , its pools and its ( couple of ) waterfalls which attract many of its visitors . The park has lifeguards , toilets and snack bars stationed along its 3 pools , and there are even areas where outside cooking is permitted . 4. 4.5 Zippori National Park (204 reviews)
    - Worth the difficulty of getting around the site
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM National Parks
    Zippori National Park image
I am mobility impaired, and visiting this park was somewhat of a hardship because despite the claim that it is partially accessible, it was very difficult to get around, and I was only able to do so because my husband pushed my mobility scooter, and I was able to walk a flight of stairs to see the most beautiful mosaics. However, the mosaics are magnificant, and worth the difficulty I encountered to see them, and the rest of the site is well preserved and provides an outstanding example of life 1500 years ago. If you are only going to one national park, choose this one. See more..
  5. 4.5 Akhziv National Park (117 reviews)
    - Worth the drive!
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM National Parks
    Akhziv National Park image
Achsiv Beach and its sister beach, Betset Beach to the north, contain some of the most delicious seashore in the country. There are sheltered pools that even our 16 month old granddaughter could walk around in and rocky formations that our teenage sons were able to dive 6 feet under and feel like they were scuba diving, from the variety of fish. The national park and camping is a popular site, but packed with people, so we took the right fork of the road and it was much less busy, and more of a family scene. The white chalk cliffs of Rosh HaNikra to the north are an added bonus. See more..

  7. 4.5 Yehi'am Fortress National Park (41 reviews)
    - Interesting Fortress, not in the Top 10 sites in Israel, still in the Top 50
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours National Parks
    Yehi'am Fortress National Park image
There are so many World Class sites in Israel: Metsada, Caesaria, Beit Shean, Avdat, Kumran, too many to list them here. They are more worth your time than this fortress. But if you pass in this region, and if you've already seen the other National Parks, then Yehi'am becomes definitely a must. Contrary to one of the other reviews I believe that 4 hours is way to much and that in 2 hours you'll walk all the corners and hidden gems this places offers. And of course the views are amazing as always with the fortresses which usually are situated high on the hill to control the routes. See more..
  8. 4.0 Ma'ayan Harod National Park (35 reviews)
    - So green and so fresh
    Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour National Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Ma'ayan Harod National Park image
A refreshing recreational park at the foot of Mt. Gilboa, where the Harod spring rises in a cave and flows into a stream. On the slope above, overlooking the valley, is the family grave of Yehoshua and Olga Hankin next to their small home, which tells their life story. See more..
  9. 4.5 Bet Alfa Synagogue National Park (34 reviews)
    - One of the Most impressive Mosaic in Israel
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM National Parks
Bet Alfa Synagogue National Park image
This is a small place, but it is almost entirely filled with the floor of and ancient synagogue and its...Outstanding Mosaic. Absolutely superb. So well preserved and so sophisticated it is a pleasure for the eyes. You will learn all about it thanks to the attendant who will start a movie, even if you alone in the building, as I was. I had the mosaic all for myself and while the story was being told I could move all around to have a better look at the different parts of it. This is not a Must see for your 1st trip in Israel but if you pass by there, you should definitely stop by and give it half an hour. See more..
  10. 4.5 The Majrasa (33 reviews)
    - Wonderful walk in water.
Spent 2-3 hours Bodies of Water • National Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Forests
    The Majrasa image
The park was full, despite being an off season school day, but the trail was pretty quiet. Wonderful cold, clear water, no higher than our necks, so we did the entire water trail with no problem. Lots of room to swim and chill in the water. Not expensive, well worth it. While C-19 regulations last, one must pre-register on the website before visiting. See more..
  11. 4.5 Bet Alpha Synagogue National Park (28 reviews)
    - A Fantastically well preserved Mosaic
Spent 1-2 hours National Parks • Religious Sites
Bet Alpha Synagogue National Park image
One of the most beautiful mosaics in Israel (and probably in the World as well). Almost all the floor of this ancient synagogue is filled by mosaic and this one in its center. Ask the attendant to show you the multimedia show, it is worth of our time and ou will know all about this synagogue. Especially interesting for your kids. Strongly recommended if you pass by this site. See more..
