- 5.0 Memoire Du Temps (267 reviews)
-Not to be missed!
Spent < 1 hour Speciality Museums
I first visited this shop in 2017 while visiting Lebanon for a wedding. While the beautiful fossils captured my imagination, I sadly didn’t have the budget to acquire a piece. Five years later, I returned to Byblos and got to purchase my very own piece of history! The owners of the store were very kind and incredibly knowledgeable, indulging me and my friend in all our questions. The store itself is beautiful, you could spend hours in there examining each beautiful fossil! I’m not a fossil enthusiast per say but it’s impossible not to be taken by the beauty and uniqueness of these fish and shrimp fossils. They have a very large selection to match all budgets, and each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity. Don’t miss it if you’re in Byblos! See more..

We did the Chouwan lake (trail number 12) in October, perfect weather; neither too cold nor too hot. It’s a more or less one hour hike to the lake and once we got there the scenery was breathtaking. You can swim or sit by the lake before coming back and it’s truly worth it. 100% recommended. See more..

Absolutely one of the best things I’ve ever done in my home country. Being from Lebanon and living abroad in Los Angeles, I always hope to rediscover my country in as many ways as possible when I visit. Elias was extremely professional, and so calm and collected that he kept me relaxed even when I was a bit nervous. The whole process was seamless from start to finish but when we took off, that’s when the true experience began. I don’t think I have ever felt such serenity or peace in my life, and not to mention I am looking at my favorite place in the whole world. Elias made sure I was happy and feeling good the entire time, checking in with me and taking care of everything so I didn’t have to worry. Seeing things from such a beautiful perspective was really an experience of a lifetime. Not to mention, Elias is extremely responsible and very good at what he does and made it all truly amazing. I will be paragliding with him every time I come to Lebanon! See more..

This is a mountain top religious site accessed by cable car or by car. The main attraction is the striking statue of Our Lady of Lebanon. Then there is a church and the Cathedral. The latter is of a very modern style. Inside the area is a shop where you can by candles etc. Outside are souvenir shops and restaurants. - 4.5 Byblos Castle (669 reviews)
-Amazing!
Castles
Byblos Castle was built by the Crusaders in the 12th century from indigenous limestone & the remains of Roman structures. Saladin captured the town & castle in 1188 & dismantled the walls in 1190. Later, the Crusaders recaptured Byblos & rebuilt the fortifications of the castle in 1197. In 1369, the castle had to fend off an attack from Cypriot vessels from Famagusta. See more..
- 4.5 Old Souk (591 reviews)
-historical
Points of Interest & Landmarks
walking down the pedestrian byblos old souks is amazing. it is a souk full of stores which sell lebanese traditional clothes and souvenirs. in this souk, you will also find small and classy cafes. you can stop at any cafe for a drink, a cup of tea or even an ice cream cup! what happens at night is UNBELIEVABLE! All of the traditional stores close and , instead of them pubs open their doors with loud music and then start the bustling night life! you won't believe you are in the same souk. the souk, full of people dancing and drinking turns into a walking street of pubs! it is a must do... See more..
- 4.5 Beit Eddine (399 reviews)
-Pay the Guide! Worth it!
Spent 2-3 hours Castles
I don't know why I'm adding to nearly 400 reviews of this castle, except that the memory is so lovely. I had to go to some trouble to get there, and I went just to see the mosaic collection. I was not particularly impressed with that, having seen hundreds of fabulous mosaics from the same era in different places. But a lady standing around there convinced me to take the time to go explore the castle, and along the way through, I hired a guide who was standing around. It was WELL WORTH paying him to tell me stories and explain features of the building. I felt enchanted with the era of Prince Bashir's residence here. I have made my photo of the reception room my Zoom background hahaha. This fascinating historic treasure should be appreciated by the Lebanese and the visitors to Lebanon. See more..
- 4.5 Churches of Harissa (281 reviews)
-Beautiful Views at the Top
Neighborhoods • Religious Sites
This is the one of the most important religious site in Lebanon dedicated to Virgin Mary. The statue of Mary overlooks the Jounieh Bay. We are allowed to climb up. However, it is very narrow on top so you just have to be patient and wait for your turn. The views at the top are beautiful. Worth going up. See more..
- 4.5 Telefrique Harrisa (251 reviews)
-Great experience
Trams
Here are some snapshots of my past experience in Beirut Lebanon. The scenery from the telefrique Harris’s up here is amazing. It is that moment when you crest that hill, you’re out of breath, you can feel your heart pounding against your rib cage, and you look up to see the whole world below you. Lebanon is not a desert. Lebanon has everything, even snow-capped mountains, glacier cold lakes that feed into the sea, and beautiful green vegetation that gives way to the wind blown hill tops the higher you climb. Below is just a sampling of what I’ve seen and experienced, I hope you enjoy! See more..

- 4.5 Monastery of St. Maron Annaya (64 reviews)
-Holy place full of miracles
Points of Interest & Landmarks
It is an amazing place to visit thanks to its miraculous atmosphere. It is definitely easier to understand if you are a believer yourself, though it is not a condition. Although it is Monastery of Saint Maron it is well known because of Saint Charbel's presence. In many countries it is less-known Saint but in Lebanon it is a very famous figure. He is known from many miracles and that is why you may meet here many pilgrims. I definitely recommend visiting the complex - you can visit the church, Saint Charbel's tomb, a museum. The sanctuary has a nice mountain location so you can admire great views if the weather is good. See more..
