Torre Del Pilar, Aragon, Spain

4.5 (1.101 reviews) Spent Ranking #10 in Aragon Monuments & Statues

Amazing view

The £3 to go up by elevator are a must - you need to go into the church and follow an arrow, and don’t worry as the lift isn’t closed (the chap who sells tickets also goes up and down). After the end of the lift ride you still go up a few more flights, but mind that the landing for the lift probably gives you the best photos. Go in the morning as the sun is right.

    Fantastic view
I had a few hours to walk around in Zaragoza on my own and heard from a colleague that it was possible to go up into the church towers. The entrance was hidden in the far end of the church towards the street (through a big door and out into what seemed like a dead end). But I’m so glad did not give up. The 3€ it costs to get up was well worth it. The restoration and the glass elevation was in itself a good sign. The let you out almost all the way up but the final part must be undertaken via narrow stairs. A must-do for photographers and anyone who wants to see the sunset over the city.

Great views, unfortunately others can spoil it
This is a very reasonably priced attraction. You get nice views on the way up. It was busy so we needed to by tickets that were for about an hour later. This was perfect sunset time so that was fine. You have 15 mins up there. Unfortunately when we climbed all the stairs for the view, there were 4 other people from a previous session (or who knows when) who wouldn’t move from the front. I wish I knew the Spanish for selfish! They told there for ages. When our time came, our whole group moved around quickly. The person selling the tickets was lovely. I think they need someone up near the lift to clear the previous people though
