Experience the Life and Works of Gargallo
Visited this museum based on a recommendation of a friend (whose parents had a picture of Gargallo’s work Gran Profeta adorning her birth announcement). I’m so glad I had the opportunity to see the incredible works of this multi-talented talented artist. In addition to sculptures, there are casts, sketches, prints and cardboard works. The building itself, Argillo Palace, dates back to the mid-1600’s. The multi-level courtyard with its arched windows and pillars is a highlight. The museum is located in a lovely square in the heart of historic Zaragoza.

Well worth a visit
This museum wasn't on our initial 'must see' list for Zaragoza, but we decided to investigate after a strong recommendation from the ticket office staff at the Roman forum - one ticket covers both sites. The museum is housed in a beautiful 17th century palace with courtyard, and the artwork is spread across several floors. Gargallo's sculptures are outstanding, and it's fascinating to observe the way his style evolved over the years, varying between conventional figurative sculpture and more experimental work with a delightful elegance. His sketches and paintings were well worth seeing too. With the excellent Goya museum and two cathedrals not far away, Zaragoza is a great place for art!

Cool Place!!! Well Worth the Visit if You Enjoy Fine Art
When I went here, I was not expecting much to be honest. To my surprise, this is a delightful little museum with some wonderful sculptures and drawings. The building architecture is featured in the tour, but I thought it was just OK. The highlight are the wonderful sculptures by an artist I had never heard of before, but he was clearly influential in the region. If you are a lover of fine art, go see it for sure, especially since it is VERY easy to get to (near Pilar Square).
