The must-see location in Jaca
The citadel of Jaca dates from the 16th century, a star-shaped fortress that houses a fantastic military miniatures museum, a museum dedicated to special forces and a remarkable collection of military art. It's also worth wandering around the battlements and staring down at the deep moat to try and spot the deer. Allow about 90 minutes to take in everything that it has to offer.

the most important building in Jaca
Ciudadela de Jaca (the fortress, in English) is located in the center. of the town, in Aragonese Pyrenees, in the North of Spain. It is historically the most important building built to defend from French Army. It is possible to visit the ramparts, some little museums and do a guided visit to see deers in the moat of the fortress (perfect for children). Here you can learn about the history of the place and the town or see military miniatures in one of the museums. Very nice. On the other hand, for me, all the complex has too much military references (the ramparts, the museums or the place).

A must see
Take time for this. A lot to see in the one area of the fort. The fort alone is amazing and the museum within is special. If you have an interest in anything military or are interested in French history then this will suit you. It is nice just to stroll around outer walls as well. Certain times of year it closes at 2.00 pm, so this happened to us and we were a bit rushed.
