A pillar church

A Basilic church that has a miraculous beginning. I have never thought that I will be inside this wonderful church. It is breathtaking to see how the church was made and the designs and history that only walls of the church can tell. If you are religious or just coming in Zaragoza for a tour, you must see this church.

    Hallowed halls
A vast edifice dominating the grand Plaza del Pilar, it was fabulous seeing it as the sun rose outlining its pinnacles. Beautiful inside, it displays a number of design styles, evidence of its distant origins and longevity. A sumptuous altar area has holy images in exquisite gold and marble. It may be the first church in history to venerate Mary, whose statue stands on a column of jasper precious stone. She has been venerated in person by kings, popes and saints.

Beautiful basilica in heart of Zaragoza
This is a beautiful basilica in the heart of Zaragoza. Entrance is free. It is worth seeing the frescos on the walls and ceilings, especially the one by Goya. There is also such a great amount of history here, especially seeing where the two bombs came through and the bombs themselves during the war. Well worth a visit and try to guess the colour of the Pilar's 'dress'!
