A long drive from everywhere, but well worth it. There are many, many, petroglyphs that are easily accessible, but probably difficult to find without a guide. One of the best petroglyph sites in Central Asia. The children’s camp has been converted to very nice accommodation, with very comfortable yurts with bathrooms. They were installing satellite TV when we visited (though no Wi-Fi ). The accommodation, linked from the site description above, provided a guide to the petroglyphs. Great food, salt cave, hill walks. Thoroughly recommend. See more..

    - Ruined fortress

Fortress of Alexander the Great image
Not much remains of this frontier fortress. This 2000 year old hilltop fort is now mostly reduced to mud walls. This is mainly a site for people interested in archaeology, not much of general interest. The views from the fort over the surrounding desert are extensive. See more..

    Karavan-Sarai Rabati Malik image
On the way from Bukhara to Samarkand stands a structure known as the Rabati Malik Sardoba – a reservoir for collection of water. This is a 13-m storage reservoir and was built in the XI century specially to supply Rabat-i-Malik with water. Water to the tank was fed by the nearby Zaravshan River through an underground canal and was kept there for the whole summer. The water there was clean and cold owing to a 12-m dome, protecting it from sun heat. The climbdown to the sardoba is located at the entry. Located on the caravan route, Sardoba Malik was a source of potable water for passing travellers and caravans. See more..
  6. 4.0 Nurota Istirohat Bogi Park (2 reviews)
    - Park opposite Chasma complex
    Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Parks
    Nurota Istirohat Bogi Park image
This small park is located opposite the Chasma complex. We noticed it whilst passing in the taxi and returned to take a few photos whilst walking by. The main attraction in the park is the blue domed mosque at the western end. We thought it was similarly designed to the Juma mosque in the Chasma complex, as it had sculpted wooden columns and a single dome. Scattered amongst the park where quite a few green roofed covered areas where one can get shade from the sun. The river from the chasma actually runs to this side of the road also, so you can stroll the park whilst walking beside it. The park has many trees and is surprisingly green and well maintained. After viewing this area, walk in a north easterly direction past the bank, and another park of the same name, but with #2 added, may be visited. If you wish to explore the town, shared taxis leave from the Chasma complex gate. See more..
  7. 4.0 Alisher Navoiy National Park (2 reviews)
    - What's there?
Friday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Parks
    Alisher Navoiy National Park image
It's the central park in Samarkand, Uzbekistan - the Alisher Navoiy Park. It's huge and there are plenty of trees and areas where people can sit, relax, unwind play with a ball, have a picnic, rent a bike take some rides, etc. Across the street is the City Centre Supermarket so in case park visitors feel thirsty, they can purchase something there. There are also a small grocery and some restaurants on the opposite section of the park. This park has got around 5, I think, gates so you can enter from one gate and exit through another gate. You'll find the huge statue at one of the entrances of the park. There isn't any entrance fees to enter the park. See more..
  8. 4.0 Navoiy Central Market (1 review)
    - Great way to experience local culture
    Friday: 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Flea & Street Markets • Farmers Markets
    Navoiy Central Market image
The Central Market is located at the intersection of Galaba and Amir Timur Streets, and is the main area of trading in the city. The market is divided into a farmers market to the east and smaller shops to the west selling a wide selection of items. The main entrance to the farmers market is on Amir Temur Street. In this area you can get meats, fruits and vegetables. The more interesting area to us was the open air displays and the mini shops on either side of the market. This was the largest market which we had seen on our visit to Uzbekistan. Any household item could be purchased here from cleaning supplies to furniture. Even bicycles were on sale. There were many persons shopping, and you could walk between stalls and bargain for items on display, as there were no prices on the goods. Without local assistance here you will definitely be overcharged, but we were able to purchase a few supplies for our day trip to Nurata at a reasonable cost, with the added bonus of interaction with the friendly locals. You will be stand out here, as Navoi is not a city used to having tourists, and the market place is a local event. The main entrance to the market is on Galaba Street, and is a circular structure on columns which has the name of the Bazaar in Green letters on top. The more regularly used entrance by locals is the lane which runs next to the Qandolat Rastasi shopping mall. In this area there are many transportation options, as taxis park here and await passengers, and the market bus stop is also here. I think this is a great opportunity to see locals interact in the bazaar, and to view life as locals see it. See more..

    - И мы здесь были )))

    Mir-Sayid Bakhrom Mausoleum image
И вам советую ))) See more..
