   My fiance and I had a wonderful time with captain Al and his first mate Flynn. We have been on many fishing charters in the gulf of mexico and off the east coast. Just from the interaction Captain Al and Flynn had with our group made it the most fun. We were able to catch nice size under halibut and large over halibut. My fiance's halibut was close to 100 pounds. We came home with almost 75 pounds of halibut fillets. the fish processing at reel em inn was seamless and very fair pricing. This made it extremely simple for us to bring our catch back to the east cost. we also had two nights lodging at reel em inn which was also very reasonable and good hospitality. I highly recommend this charter and if we are back in Alaska in the future I will book a trip with Al again. thanks Dustin and Jordan See more..

   This is the best Halibut charter on the peninsula. They will hook you up with one of their professional captains and all of them are all about getting alot of huge fish on the boat. They won't just take you to the quickie chicken hole. These guys know where the big ones are on any given day and will take the time to put you on them because they are out there every day. I stayed for a few days and saw alot of big fish get hung by every boat that went out..I saw some happy people come back one day with buckets full of clams too. They of course will also clean, package, freeze, and ship your catch in an onside processing center. I'd recommend staying in the comfy well equipped rooms or cabin the night before and after so you'll be there ready to go and then can chill and enjoy your catch on the excellent firepit, fully stocked BBQ pavillion.    Wow! If we could give more stars as a rating for captain Katie and captain Brian we would. We visited in May with another couple and had a blast on our fishing charter for Halibut and Salmon. We also went on the Eco tour across the Kachemak Bay and saw the beautiful wildlife. Katie and Brian know so much of the area and went out of their way to make our trip special. Their personal approach and passion for fishing and showing people the sights is what makes this so unforgettable. We caught a ton of fish and had so much fun.    What started out as my first trip to fish Alaska has turned into an annual affair! I have fished many places in Alaska but always make sure I include Key-o's as part of wherever I go. I Usually fish 10 days and one or two days on the "All Species Trip" gets me 50% or more of the fish I bring home. Every year I take three friends to fish in Alaska. Many repeat but in total I've introduced at least 12 friends, family and even clients to this incredible trip.     I've gone out fishing with Rich and Richie many times, and always have a great experience. Most recently I went in August 2018. The first people in our group started catching fish before we all even had our poles in the water, and we kept catching them continuously until we reached our limit.     We just finished a four day long range fishing trip out of Homer on the Sundy with six family and friends. Captain Garrett and Gavin were awesome and went above and beyond to make it a trip we will never forget. Everywhere we stopped we caught a ton of fish, including true trophies of all species we were targeting. The weather was amazing, whales were everywhere, the deck was constantly filled with fish, and we had an unbelievable time. After the trip we had our fish processed at Ninilchik for an excellent price and superb final product. I highly recommend the long range trip and Ninilchik Charters to anyone that loves fishing, great scenery, and even better people.     Afishunt was amazing for the two days of fishing we had. As an Alaskan I need to address some old reviews of this company. 1. They can not control the weather, the crews will do the best they can to make it a great experience. 2. You are more than likely NOT going to get a 100-200lbs halibut, not saying no one will get it but our biggest fish was 38lbs, you need to be happy with that. 3. This company is a FAMILY, they made us feel safe and kept us engaged the whole time with our 2 boys (7 & 9). Captain Chad and Kyle were both awesome but more importantly is the deckhand who busted his butt to make sure we had a great time. Thank you Noah!     I was born and raised in Alaska, and this is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to! The church is on a place overlooking a quaint little village settled alongside the inlet. It makes you feel like you just stepped into a 19th-century novel! This is a great place to stop for a picnic, read a book, or peruse the gravestones. Locals might notice some familiar ancestral names. I would recommend going on a warm and sunny day (as we did) if possible, but I'm sure it will be enjoyable in other weather. Two things to note: First, visitors CANNOT enter the church itself. You can still go inside the churchyard, though! Second, there's a whole lot of cow parsnip growing across the road from it, so be careful! It's likely to cause a rash if it comes in contact with your skin. We found this out the hard way.     Eric took us out for a day of Halibut fishing and needless to say everyone left with their limit! Very gorgeous boat ride out to the ole fishing' hole, fish were biting almost immediately. Definitely some small learning curve if you have never fished off of a boat in the ocean before, but very easy to learn! Eric handled six guests well, it's a lot for one person I think.
