We were taking a scenic drive in the Texas Hill Country on TX16 and this city park made a great rest stop along the way. We enjoyed a stroll on the paved trail on the bank of the Guadalupe River to stretch our legs. It's a wide, level path about 4 miles long with shade from large trees. We saw squirrels scampering about and several types of waterfowl. The park facilities look new and are in good condition, including parking, picnic tables and pavilion, restrooms, playground, benches, volleyball courts, and a plaza with "dancing" water fountain. Pier 27 River Lounge image
This is the best place, in my humble opinion, in Kerrville. Now I have to say we go mainly for lunch and haven't been here for years for dinner. However, this place rocks. Consistantly great food, right on the Guadelupe River, Brandy is impossibly cute, and the staff are great!! Great selection on GOOD beers, wine could be a little better, but all-in-all this place is excellent! We go at least once a week on Fridays. Sit outside, smoke a good cigar and enjoy the scenery!! Do not miss this great place!! See more..

  20. 4.0 Lytle Park (1 review)
    - Kids enjoy
    Monday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Parks • Playgrounds
We have been here many times with our little ones when in Kerrville. It is located between 1st and 2nd Streets on Lytle St. There is always plenty of parking and it generally is not crowded at all since it is located in neighborhood area. There is a small playground with multi-use equipment mostly for the 4-10 age group and there is a set of swings as well. They have a small concrete covered area with a concrete bench and picnic table right by the playground and also right by the ball field. There are covered metal bleachers as well for seating. The ball field has bases and is also generally open for a little fun play but it is used during season. Off from the parking lot is another picnic table by the street which is under some trees. This park is quiet and the kids get lots of exercise. Plus there is a paved path on the perimeter of the park which is great for walking or learning to ride a bike. We even visited on a holiday weekend and there were few people and we were able to social distance. See more..
