    Wine tasting
This was the only winery that was close to where we are staying in Kerrville so I had to check it out. The building was nice and clean with a bar and some tables. We went to the bar, there were no stools and opted to do the tasting. We tried 7 wines although the tasting was for 5. It was $20 for the tasting. I didn’t find anything I loved enough to have a glass or even take a bottle. Buddy was our wine host and he was very nice and friendly and kept us in conversation for our duration. I didn’t see that there were any tours offered. It is worth checking out!

    First TIme
While visiting close by we decided to stop in as we have passed it by several times in the past. It is located on Hwy. 16 just about 3 miles outside of Kerrville going towards Fredericksburg with a well marked entrance. The tasting room is a short drive up from the entrance and had plenty of parking. It was not busy at all early on Valentine's Day. This is only a tasting room, no vineyards. There is a small covered patio with four bistro tables in the front. When you enter you immediately notice the large room divided by a huge fireplace. To one side is tables and a lounge area and the other side has a very large tasting bar with stool seating. There is also a lounge area on this side and a few shelves with some merchandise. All areas were very clean and a nice environment. The pricing online in some of the reviews/searches is not current. Our tasting for 6 wines was $16 with average pours. They do provide as tasting sheet with some description of the wine and pricing for glass and bottles. Everyone was very friendly and it was a family environment this day as several children were around (school was out), bottles were being labeled and our server was working on her laptop in between servings. But it was relaxing and conversation was flowing nicely. The wine glasses, stemmed and stemless, have a nice armadillo logo souvenir glass and are reasonably priced. They have a varied wine selection and each had a good taste. We failed to ask where all the wines were from but it appeared they were serving wine from different vendors. The Viognier wine was very crisp and refreshing and the Cab has a hint of leather and vanilla. These were our two favorites and we each had a glass after the tasting. The pours appeared small but we were served in very large glasses. They were running a special the day we were there. The glass pricing is $7 and up and the bottle pricing is $26 and up. We were also told about an upcoming Murder Mystery event they are having in March. The visit was delightful and we would stop in here again when in the area.
