My all-time favorite hiking trails in Kerrville.
Hiking and biking trails are gravel and have elevated rises with either steps/side rails (for mountain bikes). As I recall, total mileage is less than 2 miles to go around from point A-point B. You go through cedar wooded areas and some riparian areas. Beautiful and freel!!

Kerrville Playscape
This is easy to find directly on Singing Wind Dr. and it has plenty of parking. There are two ball fields, a skate board ramp, swimming pool, walking trail up a hill, playground and restrooms.. We visited the playground and ball park next to it. The playground has an good assortment of equipment with a smaller covered area playscape for toddlers and a larger open area playscape for kids 4 and up or so. The play areas have mulch on the ground. There are some metal picnic tables to sit at and also a covered pavilion with some concrete picnic tables. The area is fenced but has open gates. Behind the playscape area is the walking trail and the bathrooms are convenient to these activities. The ball park has covered and open stadium type seating. We have been to this park several times over the years but this time we noticed it was in need of attention as the grass was needed cutting and the equipment had obvious mold and dirt on it so badly needed cleaning. We also noticed the swings were lifted rather high up. But there was plenty of things to keep the kids entertained. There was a good breeze the day we visited so that helped out some. There is no charge to visit here although I'm not sure if you need to rent or apply to use the pavilion for a gathering.
