Saturday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Speciality Museums
Originally built in 1909, the Cookeville Depot Museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is the heart of Cookeville's historic west side district. The museum houses many Tennessee Central Railway artifacts, as well as an HO scale replica of what Cookeville's west side looked like in the summer of 1955. On the other side of the diorama is a replica of a coal tipple with a model train loading up with coal. The grounds surrounding the museum are considered a park area where the museum has a static display consisting of a 1913 Baldwin steam engine, a 1920's classic red caboose, a 1960's caboose, and two small track cars. This area also offers picnic tables and a number of benches for visitors. Please feel free to bring a sack lunch and stay a while! See more..

-Lot to see here
Antique Shops
If you love browsing, check this place out. It has a bit of everything. There are collectables, antiques and some just plain junk. The fun is browsing and seeing if there is anything that catches the eye. Things inside are crowded and as I always say, places like this are bigger on the inside than they are on the outside. Plan to spend some time and take your time because you may overlook a treasure. See more..

- 2.5 Carmike Highland 12 (8 reviews)
-Not Impressed
Theaters
Stopped in to catch the Troll movie on a Friday evening. The place was packed. Parking was difficult...there really seemed as if there was not enough parking area. There was only one person at the ticket both...it took a while to get out 3 tickets. There were several staff hanging out at the concessions but only one was actually working and taking orders ....it took forever to get a bottle water and some cheese popcorn. The place was not well kept...popcorn and sticky floors everywhere...the sound system was average..the seating was rigid and not comfortable...no adjusting or reclining.. You can tell there is little or no competition from other cinemas in this market....if there was....this place will be in trouble. The movie was cute...my 9 year old daughter loved it.. Just an average place with poor customer service....not impressed. See more..

- 5.0 Cookeville Escape (4 reviews)
-Something Different and FUN
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 12:00 AM Spent 1-2 hours Escape Games
My wife and I were looking for something outside of the same ole dinner and movie. She told me about Cookeville Escape and it sounded like fun. She loves solving puzzles and I love having fun with her. There were several rooms to choose from, varying in difficulty. We started with the easiest room, so we could come back again and build our way up. We were grouped with a man and his two sons. It was great fun! A little bit of imagination goes a long way. There was a bit of an Indiana Jones feel to it. The props were well done and we all had a great time throwing out ideas and working together as a team. Time went by fast, a sure sing we were enjoying ourselves. If you would like, you can see their schedule online and book your tickets in advance. Please give it a shot. This is a great addition to Cookeville. Highly recommend. See more..

-The Coolest Place in Cookeville to Hang Out

I'm local and in my opinion this is now the coolest place in Cookeville to hang out with your friends. The appeal is probably evident when you see the game selection but the extra details really take it over the top - everything in the place is set up for being comfortable and easy to spend some time in. They get good coffee from Broast (across the road) and there are plenty of other snacks on hand. Oh, the wifi is good too. Honestly, you really need to check this place out if you are able to.
