   It’s so nice to camp with a dog and not have some one screaming at you to have it on a leash 24/7. The camp spot was huge and he was able to be on OUR spot with no one crabbing at us.    My wife and I were looking for something outside of the same ole dinner and movie. She told me about Cookeville Escape and it sounded like fun. She loves solving puzzles and I love having fun with her. There were several rooms to choose from, varying in difficulty. We started with the easiest room, so we could come back again and build our way up. We were grouped with a man and his two sons. It was great fun! A little bit of imagination goes a long way. There was a bit of an Indiana Jones feel to it. The props were well done and we all had a great time throwing out ideas and working together as a team. Time went by fast, a sure sing we were enjoying ourselves. If you would like, you can see their schedule online and book your tickets in advance. Please give it a shot.    I'm local and in my opinion this is now the coolest place in Cookeville to hang out with your friends. The appeal is probably evident when you see the game selection but the extra details really take it over the top - everything in the place is set up for being comfortable and easy to spend some time in. They get good coffee from Broast (across the road) and there are plenty of other snacks on hand. Oh, the wifi is good too. Honestly, you really need to check this place out if you are able to.    Recently went with one of our granddaughters and we were pleasantly surprised at the scope and quality of the dolls on display. Hundreds of dolls in multiple rooms of an older home that was donated to the county. It’s only open Saturday from 1 to 4pm. Free parking, free admission with donations only. And when I travel, I can get a pass and find a Curves near where I'm staying. Leslie, the owner is a great gal and always makes us feel cared for and welcome.
