    Attleboro Area Industrial Museum image
This museum is housed in a historic foundry in the center of Attleboro. Excellent displays showing the breath of the jewelry industry that dominated Attleboro. You can see how jewelry chain is made from wire and even assemble your own key chain memento from findings. The museum is also one of nine Passport to History Museums in the "Old Colony" (original Plymouth Colony) area of Massachusetts that has a photo contest of your favorite discovery at each location. The last Thursday each month the museum is open from 4 pm to 8 pm See more..

  5. 4.5 National Shrine of our Lady of La Salette (205 reviews)
    - Great place to go on a pilgrimage
    Religious Sites
National Shrine of our Lady of La Salette image
I visit the Shrine few times during the year to attend the healing mass. I always spend no less than two to three hours between the service, walking around the beautiful grounds, checking the store, and praying and lighting a candle at the Chapel of Light. It is an important and meaningful pilgrimage for me, that brings me peace, joy, and healing from the life struggles. The place is beautiful, and it's surrounded by woods, so it's a restorative trip as you reconnect with God, our Spiritual Mother Mary, and nature. They hold the beautiful Festival of Lights every Christmas season. It's wonderful to walk around seeing the Christmas lights while having a cup of hot chocolate. I highly recommend visiting this place, and don't miss it on Christmas time. See more..

Went here for a quick beer. Kinda easy to find. I will fully admit I was not a fan of their canned beer in the past (over a year ago). Hopefully, what is being canned is better now. We visited during the Covid-19 Pandemic, they were compliant if that is your wishes that they be. The service was excellent and the beers were excellent in the taster that we had. The location is easy to find and near other attractions. If you are in Attleboro, MA this is a great place to visit. See more..

    Attleboro Arts Museum image
First of all, admittance is free which is wonderful for a community museum. The "By Hand" exhibit was wonderfully curated - an assortment of fiber, jewelry and sculpture beautifully displayed. A wonderful display space with tall ceilings and natural light. Staff was friendly. See more..
  9. 4.5 Capron Park (2 reviews)
    - A partial visit.
    Parks
My visit was on my way to the Capron Zoo. Parking is an 18-20 angled lot off County Street. At the time I didn't realize that the park has six monuments/memorials. The park is approximately 40 acres , seeing just a few, with the zoo being to the east. An asphalt roadway circles the park, with a cement sidewalk to the zoo. On one mound are twp monuments. The first is the Attleboro Soldiers Monument- also known as the Massachusetts Civil War memorial. The second is the Attleboro Spanish-American War Monument. Within a short walk from County Street is the Wolfend Fountain Monument, which is a five foot diameter brown stone ball-on top of tocks-surrounded by an iron fence, with a six jet water fountain. Three other monuments-unseen-are the Attleboro Revolutionary Monument, the World War Veterans Memorial Avenue and Grand Army Avenue Monument. I wish I had checked the park's attraction's before my visit. Most likely I will never visit again, however I know what's available. Not many other people during my visit. The grass was well mowed with countless trees. The park would be good for a walk or jog or walking the dog. A visit is recommended for any reason. See more..
  10. 4.0 BattleGroundZ (9 reviews)
    - Great!!
Spent 2-3 hours Game & Entertainment Centers
We went to the Lincoln location. They did a great job. The arcade is good and well priced. They have tons of activities to do. Wehave done splatmaster, air soft and laser tag. It gets busy on the weekend. They have a concession stand. The pizza is good, sliders are ok, mac and cheese bites are good. Pricing is good for the activities and they do offer deals. See more..
  11. 4.0 Women at Work Museum (2 reviews)
    - woman as second class citizens
    Speciality Museums
my one complaint is that it is not open during the week when I go into town. The weekend is hard. but I do manage to get to see this history of women and how they were put down as a lower class as were young people and made to work long hours for little pay. It was such a hard life if you did not have a good trade to fall back on. This is a neat idea that they had to show this and how real it was not so long ago. you should see it. See more..
  12. 4.0 Edward L. Anderson Rose Garden (1 review)
    - BEAUTIFUL ROSE GARDEN ACCESSIBLE FROM CAPRON PARK ZOO
    Gardens
Edward L. Anderson Rose Garden image
After visiting Capron Park Zoo, I went next door to the Edward L. Anderson Rose Garden. The rose bushes were arranged in a large circle around the garden space. During my visit, two women from the local garden club were tending he rose bushes and weeding. The garden had about a dozen types of roses in many different colors. Although they were spaced fairly close to each other, every rose bush had its own setting. There were so many gorgeously beautiful roses in different colors and in full bloom at the time of my late-August visit that I cannot pick just one favorite. I loved them all ~ some for their color and others for their fullness because of the huge number of petals they had. I rate the Edward L. Anderson Rose Garden at 4.75 and highly recommend a visit.
