    Parks
My visit was on my way to the Capron Zoo. Parking is an 18-20 angled lot off County Street. At the time I didn't realize that the park has six monuments/memorials. The park is approximately 40 acres , seeing just a few, with the zoo being to the east. An asphalt roadway circles the park, with a cement sidewalk to the zoo. On one mound are twp monuments. The first is the Attleboro Soldiers Monument- also known as the Massachusetts Civil War memorial. The second is the Attleboro Spanish-American War Monument. Within a short walk from County Street is the Wolfend Fountain Monument, which is a five foot diameter brown stone ball-on top of tocks-surrounded by an iron fence, with a six jet water fountain. Three other monuments-unseen-are the Attleboro Revolutionary Monument, the World War Veterans Memorial Avenue and Grand Army Avenue Monument. I wish I had checked the park's attraction's before my visit. Most likely I will never visit again, however I know what's available. Not many other people during my visit. The grass was well mowed with countless trees. The park would be good for a walk or jog or walking the dog. A visit is recommended for any reason. See more..
