-Loved it!
Spent 1-2 hours Farms
Alpaca Alpaca is a small family run alpaca farm set in 11 acres situated on the outskirts of the beautiful historic town of Yarm, where we aim to raise happy, healthy alpacas with outstanding genetics. We moved to our little small holding in 2014 where we started with 6 chickens and our dog Siren. Since then our family has grown and we now have 37 alpacas, 3 crazy sheep and Jerry the pig. - 5.0 The Georgian Theatre (21 reviews)
-Best spent fiver of my holiday!
Spent 2-3 hours Theaters
The Georgian Theatre is the oldest Georgian provincial theatre in the country (1766) - situated within the 'Cultural Quarter' of Stockton-on-Tees, England - and managed / programmed by Tees Music Alliance; a not for profit music charity working for the benefit of artists and audiences. The building was re-purposed in 1993 as a live music venue and has a capacity of 300 people (standing). Seated events are also programmed. A refurbishment in 2017 saw new bar and cafe space offering daytime opening - with snacks and bar meals presented alongside a wide range of real ales, craft beers and specialist spirits. The venue is family friendly; dogs are welcome; and breast feeding / baby changing / bottle warming facilities are available. In 2016, The Georgian Theatre received accreditation by disability champions "Attitude is Everything" and became the only venue in Teesside to be formally recognised as being fully accessible for patrons with a disability. -Really Nice
Forests
I have been walking down here since I was a kid and though it's changed an awful lot from farmer's fields to a byway between estates, it is surprisingly well maintained and actually quite a serene spot so close to Ingleby and Thornaby. Perfect for walking the dog. See more..

- 4.5 Butterfly World (397 reviews)
-Cheap priced, great parking, really well kept areas, brilliant staff.
Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
Amazing. Myself, the mrs and our 2yr old daughter have visited twice ow and both times have been fantastic. Prices are very cheap and being able to feed the fish is a favourite thing my daughter loves to do. It’s a brilliant way for her to get used to all these butterflies and other animals so she doesn’t grow up with fears. Staff are really nice and one of the guys stopped to say hello to my daughter and had a fun chat with her and showed her a couple of bits. That won it for me, I don’t expect it of staff and they clearly enjoy their job for them to interact with young visitors. She was presented with a small butterfly toy which was incredibly kind which I suspect it was because she was being brave and well behaved. Seeing a massive spider knocked me sick however. But that’s my issue I need to work on haha. If only there was a good cafe near by we’d visit more but the closest one is horrendous. See more..
- 4.5 Ropner Park (297 reviews)
-super park
Parks
We have driven passed this park many ties over the years, not knowing a thing about it until yesterday. we took our grandson there for a couple of hours play time and we were surprised as to how nice it was. there a nice cafe selling decent food and ices etc, o lovely play area for the kids and a great pond to feed the ducks. excellently laid out gardens with a beautiful floral display. now that we've found this gem on our doorstep, we will visit more often. parking could be a problem on busy days but that's the only negative part of it See more..
- 4.5 Wynyard Woodland Park (147 reviews)
-Great day out!
Parks
My nine year old loves this place; we usually walk the entire Castle Eden/ Wynyard Woods walkway. We love walking down the old railway line and going under the bridges. It’s about 2.5 miles maybe 3 miles but it surely does ware them out. Great day for most people to visit. See more..
- 4.5 Yarm (107 reviews)
-Such a beautiful walk along the river in the spring sunshine
Spent 1-2 hours Historic Walking Areas
We are walking the Teesdale Way and one stage took us from Yarm Bridge near the Blue Bell pub, across the road and along the river, all the way to Middleton One Row. This is a beautiful river walk, especially so as the sun was shining in a blue blue sky. There are a few little boardwalk sections, so I imagine it does get very muddy, but was dry when we visited. We would highly recommend this walk. See more..

- 4.5 Yarm Castle (27 reviews)
-Fun Model Castle
Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Castles
Yarm Castle is a sculpture and model of a castle just outside someone's house. There's no information about why it was built except that it was created by a previous occupant of the house. Perhaps it was a labour of love. It's just outside a house and visible from the street. A lot of fun and worth a detour if you're in the area. See more..
- 4.5 Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park (25 reviews)
-A local haven
Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks • Hiking Trails
An endless amount of different trails and beautiful lakes. The views aren't great when you're up high due to pylons and industry but it's very peaceful elsewhere. Beautiful wild flower meadows and wild birds. See more..
- 4.5 The Stockton Flyer (18 reviews)
-I only went to the bank...
Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 1:15 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Monuments & Statues
I only went to Stockton to go to the bank. At nearly 1pm I heard the Stockton Flyer noise start so headed over to have a closer look. Complete madness, it really brightened up my Covid lockdown boredom! Little kids should love it as did I. The Stockton Flyer does its performance at 1PM everyday and also on special occasions. - 4.5 Romano Park (10 reviews)
-Love the park - my partner's 5 year old would happily go every day!
Spent < 1 hour Parks • Playgrounds
Romano Park is right next door to the school that my partner's little girl goes to and she absolutely loves it! It's a great park with loads of different things to do there. My only criticism is that a few months ago they removed the zip line and it's never been replaced and it was a great zip line! We visit the park all year round. See more..

- 4.0 Billingham Forum (137 reviews)
-Great little theatre
Wednesday: 6:30 AM - 10:00 PM Sports Complexes
It's not the poshest place but they have some big names on that stage! I've seen several shows over the years - music, stand up comedy, plays, opera, ballet - they have it all and the production is excellent. Even the annual panto is top class. One of the great things is that is small enough that you get a good view from every seat. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The toilets are clean. The refreshments are not cheap but also not stupidly over-priced either. I mean, it is still Billingham after all! I've enjoyed every show here from Madame Butterfly to Ross Noble. This theatre is so under rated. See more..

-Seventh Review
Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Theaters
It's great shame more people don't take the time to write a review. If I am going somewhere new it's the first thing I look for. Last Tuesday a friend and I visited to see the excellent play The Mousetrap. We enjoyed it so much. The auditorium has been refurbished and was very comfortable indeed. The people of Billingham are so lucky to have this wonderful theatre in their town. I only wish it was nearer where I live! The bar staff are always welcoming and its a good start to the evening sitting having a drink in convivial surroundings. The bar is managed excellently by Richie who always has a smile for the customers. See more..
