Eric's statue sits in an elevated position in central Morecambe with the promenade and beach immediately behind overlooking the Bay and and Lake district mountains in the distance. I live in Morecambe and whenever you pass Eric's statue there's always someone standing beside him in the same pose for a photo opportunity. The statue looks great lit up at night. - COMEDY THAT CONTINUES TO BRING LAUGHTER
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Monuments & Statues
    Comedy Carpet image
I absolutely love the comedy carpet, so many memories of brilliant comedians, one liners, that 'look'. My personal favourite was "I'm sick, sick sick up to here" from the wonderful Freddie 'Parrotface' Davies who by total coincidence I'd 'rediscovered' just a few weeks previously, he's still performing, look him up on social media. Wandering the carpet was a real walk down memory lane, it was lovely to hear spontaneous laughter and comments of 'oh I remember', brilliant addition to the prom and easy to find right opposite The Tower. Seek it out and wander memory lane a while. See more..

WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre image
This is certainly a place for serious Bird watchers to go as well as families and anyone interested in birds to go. It is not the cheapest place to visit but you could make a day of it and bring a picnic or use the cafe there. it is a large place to explore and a lot of birds to see and watch as they feed and mix with other birds' If taking photo graphs a long lense is very much needed in order to get photos of the birds. There are a lot of seats around to rest between walking. There are also hides into which you can go in order to observe the birds. They do have feeding times to watch and these are listed o the boards at the entrance. There are also Asian otters and Flamingoes to see. When we were there there were several large Lego models around that were amazing See more..

    - Spotless!
Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
    St. Anne's Beach image
We stayed across the road from the beach just this week (half term and awful weather). Took our dog and we were amazed at all the volunteers that were all working hard ensuring the beach was clean and safe. As storm 'Dennis' blew, rain fell and it was cold, the locals just carried on showing how proud they were of the beautiful beach of St Annes. Our little Shi Tzu dog 'Buddy' loved running around on the the beach as we tried to keep warm. We are fully aware the beach is not allowed dogs between Good Friday and 30th Jan. See more..

    Trough of Bowland image
I drove from Lancaster to Clitheroe via the Jubilee Tower and a series of quiet, peaceful roads. The weather wasn't fantastic, but that did not detract in any way from some of the most amazing views which I seemed to come across almost by accident. There were quiet villages along the way, some of which had refreshment rooms or cafes; and there were two layby vans I spotted also serving refreshments. But I didn't stop - I just wanted to enjoy this incredible countryside. I shall be back again and again. See more..
