- 5.0 The Black Dub (3 reviews)
-Great experience
Spent More than 3 hours Bars & Clubs • Auto Racing Tracks
If you are considering a trip to the Isle of Man TT, you have to stop in for viewing at The Black Dub, Mile 9. T he ultimate track side accommodation and seated viewing platform at the infamous 'Black Dub' corner, on the 9th Milestone! There's live screens to watch all the action as well as a burger kitchen, live entertainment, commentary, speed gun, and toilets. See you there soon, and enjoy the Racing! See more..
- 4.5 Ballacraine Quad Bike Trail Rides (4 reviews)
-Great fun
Biking Trails
Had so much fun quad biking today at the Ballacraine Farm. Like others have already mentioned, some parts of the trail are easy and a smooth ride, others prove to be a challenge. Really entertaining and oh my god the views are stunning. There's cows and sheep all around, the hills are full of life. If you're in luck and the weather is good, you're in for a treat. Price wise it's on a steep side, but it's worth it. Loved today, would definitely recommend and go again. See more..
- 4.0 Tynwald Hill (25 reviews)
-Site of an Ancient Parliament
Spent < 1 hour Parks
Often known as the Wedding Cake, due to its four tiers. During the annual Tynwald Day (National Day of the Isle of Man) held in early July the Queens reprehensive - the Lieutenant Governor (unless a member of the Royal Family is present) sits on the top tier with lower ranking dignitaries on the lower tiers. The site is impressive at any time of the year and can be combined with visits to the Islands War Memorial and St John the Baptists Church. See more..
- 4.0 Tynwald National Park and Arboretum (6 reviews)
-National Park and Arboretum
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Parks
A Charming country parkland within Isle of Man for visitors to enjoy a nice stoll around an area of garden paths and mature woodland trails. The area has a bounty of sculptures and art work and there are a few areas which show off the immaculate beautiful surroundings where you can sit and watch the day go by. There are also a number of ponds where the ducks paddle back and forth for attention. The only issue I could see was that there is no map at the entrance which makes it very hard to know where you are going or what is in the park. See more..
- 4.0 Garey Ny Cloie Gardens (2 reviews)
-An interesting garden
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Parks • Gardens • Scenic Walking Areas
We found these free gardens (including excellent toilets) by chance as we were driving from Foxdale to St John's on the A40. There is a large car park opposite the gardens adjacent to the Saw Mill. The long narrow gardens follow the course of the Foxdale River which when we visited resembled a stream. The highlight of the garden is the numerous trees which can easily be identified from the numbered identification posts and the corresponding information leaflet which was available on site. Unlike the Manx Heritage sites, there seemed to be no restrictive opening and closing times, as there is apparently no need for staff to be present when the gardens are visited by the public. - 3.0 Cooily y Ree (5 reviews)
-Peaceful but neglected
Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
A couple of useful information boards just across from Tynwald Hill explain what these gardens are supposed to be. Unfortunately, either there is still a lot of work still to do, or they have been neglected. Hopefully it's the former and in a few years time they will be judged as a real beauty spot. See more..
