I recommend everyone to visit this cave. This is less touristic place with amazing guide. If you like advatures, this is place for you! You will receive a headlamp and the tour can start. I enjoyed it and definitely will come back in summer. The place is open during the whole year and guide is made even for one person. in case you would like to see bats, visit the place in winter time. In addition, you can buy traditional home made products (no "made in China") in the ticket house. See more..

A great way to experience the natural environment of the Mala Fatras. Head up via Janosikove Diery for a dramatic climb through gorges and next to waterfalls (there's an elevated walkway, don't worry about getting wet!) Views from the top were magnificent, to the north towards Poland and across the peaks to the south too. Note; coming down the mountain on it's southern aspect is tricky, down rocks and stones very prone to slipping. Is very manageable if you take your time, but don't go rushing down. The slope is steep and drops either side at times severe. But as I say, to the sensible hiker there's no need to worry. See more..

Really climbing on hill. Dangerous path, better said, one step away and you can fly. On the peak, you can see beautiful view. The path is quite short from the nearest crossroad to the hill, and then to the peak as well, but it is very difficult for climbing. I do not say about me, but a lot of people gave up it in the middle or they spin back near by the hill. Way down is based on descent on a rope. Recomended. See more..

Kubinska Hola is one of my favourite ski resorts in Slovakia. Although the ski lifts are not exactly state of art, the pistes are great for beginners and intermediate skiers with some interesting choices of routes off piste even for experienced skiers (when there is enough snow off piste). This is a great resort to start learning skiing since the pistes for beginners are very wide and there is plenty of space even on crowded days. I recommend this place for all people which like to know a nice place in Slovakia, where is a sculpture Jesus Christ a 9,5m tall with a nice flowers in little garden. This place is on Grapa hill, from which is a nice view on Klin, Oravskú priehradu, Námestovo, Vavrečku, Suchú Horu and Roháče. Nadherna jaskyna s nenarocnym terenom, prehliadka trvala cca 30 minut, male prevysenie, len zopar schodov, krasna vyzdoba, vyklad prisposobeny skupinke, kedze sme mali 2 male deti (5 rokov), sprievodkyna prisposobila vyklad im, deti hladali stalagnaty, hadali zvieratka v jaskynnych utvaroch, nikde neboli dlhe prestoje alebo prilis dlhy vyklad, ktory by deti zacal nudit. Bola to pre ne prva navsteva jaskyne a boli nadsene. Velmi odporucam pre jasknnych zaciatocnikov, prekvapujuco krasna vyzdoba. Definitely recommend visit, with or without small kids, this cave is beautiful and amazing, easy terrain without too many steps or long walks, the guide adjusted the speech so that the small kids with us considered the tour more like a challenge or game of looking for the shapes of animals made of limestone while walking.
