After welcome drink, we were given personalized tour of facility. This establishment is relatively new, but design and quality of wines and service is excellent. Following dinner, we tasted additional wines from Trnava region and selected "the most popular" Rizling. We stayed overnight. Rooms were spacious, free WiFi and breakfast was included. Our car was parked in secured area within fenced facility. See more..
  3. 5.0 Sedin Golf Resort (9 reviews)
    - Well spend money
Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
    Sedin Golf Resort image
Checking where to play in Slovakia, i found this course, close to Bratislava. So I decided to come. Course is hidden in small village, easy to reach with navigation. Take enough time from Wherever you come since the road to there can get busy fast. Small friendly, clubhouse with nice restaurant, and nice outside seating as well. What I did not get is charging 8EUR for birdie card is a bit robbery ;) also they will sell you only 3logo balls not just one. Ok take it or leave it. Driving range is close to clubhouse, however opposite direction than 1st tee. They are very well organized, very pleasant staff, especially marshall. Course itself is parkland/links course. It is very well maintained, its remarkable that they have enough water. I have to admit well spend money there. Teeboxes, fairways, greens all perfect. Greens were realy fast. Teeboxes are big enough not to be worn out in one day. Front nine has first 3holes surrounded by trees those holes are nice to warm up. The nicest hole to me is 9, 10, 11, 12, 17 :) I did not like much holes 4, 5, 7. Course is pretty flat so no need to have buggy. What you will appreciate much, despite Donau river nearby, not many water hazards. This course is worth of visit more often. I feel that I got some value there for my money. Challenging course. Town Tower image
Visited Trnava city for the first time and we really love it. A lot of churches, historical city center and 143 stairs to get a beautiful panoramatic view from the Town Tower. The city center itself is very vivid, a lot of bars and restaurants full of people. Enjoyed this city a lot. See more..

  6. 4.5 Mala Synagoga Trnava (63 reviews)
    - Come!
Sunday: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Mala Synagoga Trnava image
I've not had any opportunity to step into a synagogue. Although this synagogue has been converted into a cafe, it retains all signs of its past as a temple of worship. The ambience is magnificent. Coffee is so-so but the carrot and chocolate cakes are delicious. I recommend you to drop by for tea break and soak in the ambience of a "once desecrated yet carefully restored" synagogue-converted cafe. You will enjoy it! See more..
  7. 4.5 St. John the Baptist Cathedral (52 reviews)
    - Spectacular wooden altar
    Churches & Cathedrals
St. John the Baptist Cathedral image
I got to the cathedral at noon and it was closed from noon to 2:00. Later, I read that this is from May to September. I returned at 2:00 and was glad I did. The wooden altar piece is rare and was spectacular. It was off season and several of the other churches including the Basilica were closed except for masses which were at random times throughout the day, so I was glad to have been able to go inside. Had I known, I would have tried to get the mass schedules because the churches are opened 30 minutes prior to the service. See more..

    - Wonderful place and great example how it can be done
    Sunday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Zoos
    Malkia Park image
We planned this visit for some time. We came at the end of holiday season and the parking place was quite full. We were worried the place would be overcrowded however that was not the case. As the park is large, people spread around so it did not feel crowded at all. Animals had big enough places to live. Some of the stories and facts about animals were not positive at all however it was good to know the reality. It is obvious that owners care and do a lot. Thank you! See more..

    Penati Golf Resort image
No doubts it is an excellent golf course with difficult putting greens. Splendid clubhouse, driving range and practice areas. Check availability of appartaments as each has own entrance into the lake. Large restaurant with good wine choice and great service. Everything is at the highest international standards. Looks that golf is a way to show off in Slovakia: club members areas, changing rooms, expensive furniture and bathrooms equipment. See more..

    - Great 'Town Castle' Ruin
Spent 1-2 hours Ancient Ruins • Castles
    Hrad Branc image
I seek out these small town castle ruins in my travels. Some are over restored, some become touristy. This one was above the town, a place where locals might take a local short hike and clear their head. There wasn't anyone but myself at the top! Incredible views, and not over restored. The town should be proud of the monument they are preserving. See more..

The water mill was rebuilt from the original ship mill on a wheeled road in 1905. After the reconstruction of the building in 1995, the visitors are waiting on the banks of the Little Danube in a picturesque natural environment. In the vicinity of the mill there is an open-air museum focused on the village's past. Currently, it is being reconstructed together with an open-air museum. The whole object is closed since 19/6/2018 until summer season 2019. See more..

Waauuu what a fantastic place, absolutely a must see if you're a technical geek. Just amazing construction and impressed. Way too much to write about, but please go there and take your time. Amazing construction go there and enjoy. See more..

  19. 4.5 Rotunda sv.Juraja/ St.George chapel (7 reviews)
    - Unforgettable view of my home town
Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites
    Rotunda sv.Juraja/ St.George chapel image
Splendid views from this area of the old town and certainly my favourite spot to chill and take it all in. The chapel is closed unless you are on a guided tour but I believe that entry can be arranged in advance. The site offers an idea of where the ancient walls used to run, the Jewish cemetery is right behind the chapel and the North gate (the only gate left to this date) is just a few metres away. if you cross the road and climb a little hill, you get even higher to see the town. The view offers all church towers, vineyards, fishing ponds, even views of nearby Czech Republic. And you can enjoy all of that while exploring 'kalvaria'. The only other place that offers better views of town is the tower of St Michael's church (located at the square) and entry is normally available from May till mid September during the weekends - check with Tourist information center in advance to avoid disappointment. See more..

    - Nice relax
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Water Parks
    Thermal Corvinus Velky Meder image
Take enough time for stay. There are different pools with different temperature. The most people has been at 32-36 degrees pool, so a bit crowded there. But you have also a pool for a little children with only 30cm heigh water level. Food places with longer distances from main used pools has lower prices.Don’t expect any master gastronomic experience. Everything looks very similar and taste as that look like. But it is not about a food, but pools and they are very comfortable. See more..
  24. 4.0 Smolenice Castle (62 reviews)
    - Picturesque outside, nothing inside
    Castles
    Smolenice Castle image
The castle in Small Carpathians, with fabulous park in English style - especially when you follow yellow tourist signs from Jahodnik, you are discovering its beautiful views step by step. All equipment and furniture from the castle were taken away from the castle, so there are no expositions inside. Also the accommodation is not the best in the world. Recommend as picnic place, or stop when hiking in Small Carpathians, being near to Zaruby - top mountain in Small Carpathians. See more..
  25. 4.0 City Arena Trnava (57 reviews)
    - A good place to spend a lot of money

    City Arena Trnava image
In almost a center of Trnava there is this new shopping center. There are a lot of interesting shops, bars, restaurants. But dont come here if you are on budget. 28. 4.0 Driny Cave (37 reviews)
    - Nice cave close to Bratislava
    Caverns & Caves
    Driny Cave image
This cave is located ca 50 km from Bratislava, very close to the fabulous Smolenice castle. It is the only accessible cave in the western part of Slovakia. You have to walk around 1km to reach the cave from the parking place. Cave itself is really beautiful, quite rich decorated. On the other hand I don’t understand the price policy as the fee, you have to pay to be allowed to take pictures in the cave, is higher than regular entry fee, so at the end of the day the administrator does not get as many funds from this resources as he would get if he had decreased that fee. Despite this fact the cave is indeed worth your visit. See more..
