This fairly new attraction gives you a variety of activities to choose from - walks, zip-line, rappelling, rafting, archery, and of course excellent views from a distance and right up close of the majestic Monday Falls. You pay a small admission fee, and from there choose which activities you want to pay for if you do more than walk the trails. There is a restaurant inside the premises, which sells 3 or 4 different typical plates, plus snacks and drinks. Bathrooms are good and clean. If you want to get up close to the falls you need to be able to descend and ascend quite a few steps, but these are mainly in iron with nonslip gratings, plus handrails. near the bottom of the steps there is a small "bonus" waterfall also that you can get up real close to. It is not easy to get to this museum and it is advisable to call ahead to see if it is open. One drives through large fields planted with soya beans. We also passed isolated hamlets with indigenous people. Beautiful children were playing near the road. We were fortunate as we were the only group visiting the museum at the time. Thus we had a wonderful and enthusiastic guide Ms. Bianca Soares, the Park Ranger. It is a bit of a walk from the parking lot and information center but they will let you drive the car if you have problem walking. The house, now a museum, is relatively small and one can only wonder how Moises Bertoni, his wife and many children could live there. The view of the river from the back of the home is breathtaking. A cemetery, were the family is buried is just a short walk from the museum. Bertoni’s legacy is astonishing and I urge you to familiarize yourself about his extensive research. The Museum is definitely worth a visit. See more..

If one is new to the city one has to hunt for the entrance to this museum. The collection is house in what appears to have been a private home. Most of the objects were from the historic period. But I found what I was looking for - one small room that was dedicated to the Paraguayan indigenous people. The staff let me take pictures and would move some of the objects so I could see better. The collection was a bit dusty and worn. The objects would have preserved better in glass cases. Interpretation was lacking. I was disappointed that a city the size of Ciudad Del Este did not have a larger and better city museum. But there is also the much more modern and extensive museum at Itaipu Dam. However, I liked the place and recommend the museum to anybody interested in the Paraguayan diverse culture. See more..

The entrance to the park is FREE OF CHARGE, but you cannot simply arrive and enter. If you simply want to visit for one day then you can obtain a permit at the Itaipu Binacional Centro de Recepcion de Visitas. The permit is free and is made of two A4 documents: one to be handed at the first entrance to the Tati Yupi park, and the second at the second entrance. If you wish to camp inside the park (there is a large and very well organised Campsite) then you must book a space in advance and get a permit at the Centro Ambiental. They only allow 300 visitors per day. You must show a form of ID to receive a permit. Just so that YOU DON'T REPEAT OUR MISTAKE, please call the park first to ensure that the internal roads are dry enough for the guided tours (061 599 8339). We arrived after two days of rain and they suspended the tours. We were told that the guided tours were also free of charge. You are not allowed to wonder around on your own outside the Campsite and a couple of paved paths. We didn't have a car so we took a bus from town centre to the nearest junction by the Itaipu Binacional Centro de Recepcion de Visitas (look for the La Santaniana bus company), got the permits, and they then ordered a taxi for us (costs about 60,000 Gs = about $11.00) which took us all the way to the second entrance of the park (by the Campsite). Don't let them drop you at the first entrance as it's a 7km walk... I think on another day when the roads were dry, we would have had a much better experience. I think for families with children it is a perfect place to camp as it is very well organised (bathrooms, first aid clinics etc). I would go there again if the roads were dry. See more..

Não sabia dessa loja, mas o funcionário do estacionamento onde deixei o carro do lado brasileiro me indicou como lugar certo de compra de cosméticos. Depois de andar pelo Jebbai Center e outras lojas no caminho, eu e minha esposa fomos lá. Não fica na avenida principal, mas tem indicação nas ruas, e no início estava até com receio de ir até lá. Mas depois que chegamos, vimos que valeu a pena. Minha esposa adorou... o local é amplo, com ar condicionado, limpo, banheiros muito limpos, uma lanchonete agradável e com preços baixos. Dois salgados e um refrigerante ficou em 3 dólares. O atendimento é bom, algumas coisas encontramos mais barato lá do que em outros locais, embora outros fossem maiores. Mas vale a pena ir, caso queira fugir da "muvuca", ir a um banheiro adequado e comer um lanche, e no final tenho certeza que irá comprar algumas coisas por lá. See more..
