Excellent massage! Professional technic! Nice staff especially the boss! They helped us make the vlog a lot, we really appreciate for it. Cleaning and comfortable place.Such good experience made us go back the next day. I recommend the “signature package “, you can choose half hour “foot massage” and 1 hour “Thai yoga”. Shwe SanDaw Pagoda is one of the interesting place of Pyay which is enrichment of historical of Pyu.There's a huge Buddha statue at the end of the eastern staircase that's quite impressive. You have a great time on this pagoda and can see ancient arts and ancient pagoda here and there. Nice scenes that the whole Pyay city and Ayeyarwaddy river banks altogether with Nawadday bridge can be seen from the pagoda. It's worth to visit.Behind of this pagoda has Sehtatgyi Buddha ,also huge one. -A perfect half-day trip from Pyay
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites
The best way to come here is hiring a car with driver from Pyay. It takes around 1.30 hour to reach the village of Htonbo. From this village you can hire a private boat for 15,000 kyats It takes about an hour for the tour to temples at the top of Akuak Tuang mountains and passing by buddha statue caves on the way. - 4.5 Sri Ksetra World Heritage Site (28 reviews)
-Must-visit Place
Spent More than 3 hours Historic Sites • Ancient Ruins
This was the first World Heritage Site of Myanmar in 2014. It was not in the city. You should take a car or taxi. There were many sacred places there. If you love the archaeology and history of Buddhism to Myanmar, you should visit this site. See more..
- 4.5 Shwedaung Paya (8 reviews)
-1/10 the size of the Shwedaung in Rangoon
Historic Sites
This is a replica of the The golden pagoda in Rangoon, but 1/10 the size. It overlooks the city on the border of Myanmar and Thailand. The entire area is a religious site, so you must go barefoot, but it is not large. There is a shrine for every day of the week, and depending on the day you were born, that is where you make your prayers. And of course there are many Buddhas. See more..

-Well worth seeing
Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites • Monuments & Statues
The Shwethalyaung, a colossal reclining statue of Buddha (181 feet [55 m] long), is to the west of the modern town and is reputedly one of the most lifelike of all the reclining Buddha figures; allegedly built in AD-994, it was lost when Bago (Pegu) was destroyed in 1757 but was rediscovered under a cover of jungle growth in 1881. Shwethalyaung Buddha is the second largest reclining Buddha. See more..
- 4.0 Mya Tha Lyaung Reclining Buddha (174 reviews)
-Zayar Latt
Religious Sites
We recently returned from a trip to Burma. Whilst there, we were lucky enough to be recommended a guide, Zayar Latt. Zayar was our guide for a day when we visited Taukkyan war cemetery and then on to Bago a small provincial town, a couple hours drive north of Yangon. Zayar showed us all of the sights and was very interesting and informative and a true gentleman. I would highly recommend Zayar's services to anyone planning a trip to Burma as he does tours throughout the country. See more..
- 4.0 Kyaly Khat Wai Monastery (108 reviews)
-When you're in Mandalay pay this a visit.
Religious Sites
This is a spectaculair monastery. We were there during the end the end of the monsoon and there were hardly any tourists. ( also very little rain) Our guide told us that when you're there during the season there are more tourists than monks (1200) So we could shoot beautiful pictures without tourists on it. It is a nice ritual when all the monks line up to go and have there meal at.10.15 h. It's very diciplined and its a long long row. Very nice to see. So I warn you when you're there during the season, be prepare to meet "some tourists and some big autobusses" See more..
- 4.0 Mahazedi Pagoda (61 reviews)
-Rare pagoda that allows visitor climb up top
Points of Interest & Landmarks
This was rare opportunity to climb up the pagoda where most pagodas forbid visitors to climb up top. At the top, I saw Shwemawdaw Paya & Mya Tha Lyaung Reclining Buddha in the background. When going down, it was even more tough compared going up due to the steepness of the steps! However, I feel rewarded after visiting this pagoda by appreciating the view of Bago city. See more..
- 4.0 Hintha Gon Paya (33 reviews)
-The Hamsa Birds story is the most interesting
Religious Sites
The Hamsa Birds story is the most interesting of this place. Our guide told us back in Yangon about Bago women, who have the pants on in their relationships and marriages. The Hamsa birds explain this story, because the female bird is sitting ontop of the male bird, which "means" she decides. The legend of Bago is, when in ancient times this was all a big sea and out of nowhere these 2 birds show up with a twig and whre the appeared, land arises and peolpe build Bago here. See more..
- 4.0 Hmawza (Srikshetra) Museum (32 reviews)
-Worth to visit.
Speciality Museums
I have been living in Myanmar in nearly 2 years. People always talk about Bagan, Inle Lake, Golden Rock. But after visitjng SriKshetra, as my point of view, this ancient city should be ranked at number 3. For your info, In 2014 the Pyu cities Halin, Beikthano and Sri Kshetra have declared as Myanmar's first Unesco World Heritage place. In order to understand more detail about history, archeology. before you go. Since the monuments is spread and destroyed too much. The museum with entrance fee of 5000mmk is quite small but provide you basic knowledge about Pyu period. See more..

- 3.0 Snake Pagoda (111 reviews)
-It houses a rather large snake...
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
So read the reviews and expected many people there. I took a group of teenagers there one Thursday afternoon during the end of a habitat for humanity build and was surprised to be the only visitors there at the moment. Some monks came in as we left. We were able to enter the den with the snake. She wasn’t very active while there, but I will say it is one of the healthiest snakes I’ve seen. I have seen a Burmese python larger than this one. I also am doubtful on the age-they claim she is 129 years old...been there 19 years. I’m not so sure she’s that old. However, she is large and when in Burma, one should see a Burmese Python!
