Thank you for these great tours. The communication with Gigia was smooth in English. She has been super nice and answered and considered all my questions and concerns. The same goes for Francesco and Giuseppe. We did first water rafting and two days later canyoning. Both tours were with Francesco and the canyoning was with Giuseppe. I did both for the first time and felt very well taken care of. Francesco and Giuseppe are very experienced, friendly and funny. The tours are very nice and the price is absolutely reasonable. In general, it is a young and very nice team there. I can highly recommend it to everyone. I hope that I can do another tour there someday. See more..

We had a river walking and rafting fun trip with Antonio, Veronica and Pelado in June which was extremely interesting. Lots of joy, curiosity and warm vibes from the team and obviously picturesque views of the Lao River have made this experience memorable. The Trive base is also very attractive, with a swimming pool, hammocks and a camping space. We were welcomed and treated with kindness, attention and generosity - highly recommended! See more..

Rafted down the Lao at Laino borgo in August. Fantastic fun - a three hour journey because the water was a bit low, but really exciting and hairy enough at times. Several of the party got a ducking including the helmsman. Beautiful scenery. More people should visit this lovely and unspoilt area of Italy. See more..

I did the rivertubing with my kids and we all have all enjoyed it very much! Rivertubing has been much more fun than rafting because you are in control of your own "means of transportation". Nonetheless the acquatrekking guides were never far away, I always felt safe and they organised the whole tour very professionally I highly recommend rivertubing on the Lao-Mercure river and if I go back to the Pollino park I'd definitely do it again. Ci siamo divertiti tantissimo! Io, i miei fratelli (di 11 e 17 anni) e mio padre abbiamo scelto di acquistare il pacchetto comprendente i percorsi verde+viola e il volo dell'aquila per 20 euro a testa. Il percorso verde è stato assolutamente adatto a tutti e quattro. Il percorso viola troppo bello, fatto solo di carrucole (in tutto 4, per quasi 200 metri). Io e mio fratello di 17 anni abbiamo poi completato il percorso rosso, bello tosto, che richiede forza soprattutto nelle braccia e molto equilibrio (in aggiunta al costo di 10 euro a testa).

Dobbiamo ringraziare Mario, che ci ha seguiti in ogni nostro passo e supportati nei tratti più difficili dei percorsi. E' riuscito persino a far divertire il mio fratellino di 11 anni, che aveva un po' paura! Ci tornerei anche adesso! See more..

da diverso tempo volevamo fare rafting rimanendo al sud italia, e una delle aree più conosciute per quest'attività è quella del fiume lao in calabria, quasi al confine con la basilicata; ci siamo rivolti a rafting explorer e l'esperienza è stata ottima: bravi a spiegarci le basi per fare in sicurezza e coordinati l'ora e mezza di discesa, durante la quale abbiamo ascoltato anche info e storia sul fiume lao; un'esperienza diversa dal solito, immersi nella natura e lontani dal caos marittimo/cittadino; stra-consigliato il bagno nella acque fredde del fiume, oltre che la sosta alla cascata (specie se fa caldo); consiglio di portare l'action cam (anche se i ragazzi vi scatteranno delle foto) See more..

A very beautiful sanctuary. An employee gave us an informal tour as it is more of a wander around type of place. They are very proud and excited to share this pace with you. Great history and nicely preserved. The views are amazing and it is hard to imagine a journey on foot to the top of this mountain (which many people did log ago)! One of the most breathtaking sanctuaries we visited (and there are many!) as far as vistas and buildings. Picnic tables for lunch and a nice little cafe for refreshments. Not far from the mud baths which is where we headed afterwards! It's a bit of drive but worth it. Bring hats/sunscreen. See more..

Una passeggiata breve tra prati e boschi di faggio sino a raggiungere questo belvedere, i pini loricati posti sui pendii delle montagne e i paesi della Calabria in lontananza. E’ un posto unico con alberi centenari che fanno da cornice ad un paesaggio stupendo. I pini loricati sono chiamati così in quanto la loro corteccia a scaglie ricorda le “loriche”, le corazze dei legionari romani. Le piante hanno tronchi bassi, contorti e massicci per adattarsi alle tempeste invernali di vento. Il loro nome botanico “relitto balcanico” si riferisce al fatto che queste piante, originarie dei Balcani, sono migrate durante le ultime glaciazioni in alcune zone della Basilicata e Calabria. While visiting an italian friend in the non touristy area of Calabria..Trebisacce. We took a ride up the mountain to this spa. What a treat! We were lucky because it was September and the place was almost empty. But is a natural hot spring sulphur water cave which services the water for a large pool. The mud coating..baking it dry while lying on the warm stone pavement and then showering off in the outdoor showers...then into the sulphur pool probably made me more relaxed than I have been in months. A restuarant next door on the hill with a wonderful view has simple delicious local food. Highlly recommend this site and continue on up the mountain to the rustic and beautiful Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Armi. See more..
