    Galway Tour Company image
My parents, my sister with her boyfriend and I went on the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren day trip on 5th of August. We really enjoyed it! There have been a couple of stops on the way before we hit the port of Doolin to take a boat trip to view the Cliffs from the water level (this was optional and involved additional charge). It was followed by a delicious lunch in a local pub. The fish was so fresh, simply to die for! After that we hit the top of the Cliffs so we could admire them from a different angle. Our driver Tommy was great! Full of stories and jokes, making sure we had enough time to take in beautiful views and enjoy the trip. And most importantly, he had his ways to make the rain stop every time we left the bus He made us all feel welcome and it was a pleasure spending the day out with him! See more..

I would reccoment using this company if you are choosing to tour connemara . I do not normally give any company 5 stars but Gerry gave that bit extra so pushing me in all honesty to award 5 star See more..

Lally Tours - Day Tours image
Wow! Completely blown away by our day trip from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher via Kinvara, Ballyvaughan, Doolin. Our driver and tour guide was John B. His knowledge of the area, great story telling, sense of humour, wit, charm, warmth and friendliness made the experience that extra bit special and for that reason alone we are planning our next trip with Lally tours! The customer service and professionalism shown to us was simply outstanding. Everything is planned impeccably with Lally's - (e.g., Lally's provide a menu for lunch in a local venue. The driver will call in your order, in advance, which takes the hassle and stress away especially during a busy lunch hour). The tour is certainly value for money, the coach was impeccably clean and comfortable with a w.c. onboard. It really was one of the best tours we've experienced internationally. Thank you John B and team. Looking forward to the next one! See more..

We got dropped off in Achill with our hired bikes from Paddy and Nellys in town, directly behind the Wyatt hotel. - An Inis Mor Must See
Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 AM Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Ancient Ruins
    Dún Aonghasa image
Perched on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Dun Aonghasa is the largest of the prehistoric stone forts of the Aran Islands. It is enclosed by three massive dry-stone walls and a chevaux-de-frise consisting of blocks of limestone set vertically into the ground to deter attackers. Originally constructed c.1100BC, it was re-fortified around 700-800 AD. Excavations revealed significant evidence of prehistoric metalworking, as well as several burials. Visitor safety information: The fort is about 1km from the Visitors Centre and is approached over rising ground. The last section of the path is over rough, natural rock and care is needed, especially when descending. Boots or strong walking shoes are recommended. There is no fence or barrier at the edge of the cliff. See more..
  8. 5.0 Atlantic Drive (1.315 reviews)
    - Dramatic cliffs, rocks and ocean views
    Scenic Drives
    Atlantic Drive image
The drive along the Atlantic Coast of Achill Island is beautiful. We walked around Grace O'Malley's Kildavnet Tower and looked at the fast current in Achill Sound and the sea rescue boat moored there. We drove all the way along the coast to Keem Strand (beach). We made multiple stops along the way to enjoy the views and take photos. We stopped at Beehive Craft & Gifts Restaurant in Keel for tea and a bite to eat. The history about basking sharks in Keem bay is fascinating. The deserted village is a good add-on to this drive. Also, we stopped by Red Fox Press near Dugort and had a great time browsing their prints, books, photographs, etc. See more..

    - Well worth a visit.
Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Mines
    Arigna Mining Experience image
We really enjoyed our visit to the former mines. Our tour guide, Gerard, was a former miner and hence extremely knowledgeable about the technical side of things but also about the human stories of the many hardships and challenges the miners and their families faced. He was also very entertaining. The tour is about forty five minutes long so it was good value for money. It would also be easily accessible for most people and there was the option of organizing a wheelchair for disabled visitors. There is a gift shop and coffee shop with spectacular views over the mountains and the lake. See more..

Just back from a fantastic morning kayaking on the river Corrib with our guide Duncan from Give it a go Ireland .We were a party of four, 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 5. We went in double kayaks, so a parent and child to each one. It was such fun. Felt very safe at all times. Saw loads of wildlife from the little ducks ,swans and even a heron. There was a hidden lake which we had to meander through the jungle reeds to get to, felt like a real adventure! The kids loved the interaction with the other people also using the river. Waving and talking across at the passing boats and rowers and the friendly banter back to us was great craic. Highly reccomend the experience. 18. 5.0 Kayakmor (309 reviews)
    - Lough Corrib Paddle
    Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Kayaking & Canoeing
    Kayakmor image
This was a marvellous experience paddling the bucolic Lough Corrib, Ireland’s largest lake. Arranged by phone prior to our holiday we met our host Jim at Kilbeg Pier 30 mins north of Galway and after a safety talk we were fully kitted out in wet suits and buoyancy aids. Despite our family being a mix of complete novices and infrequent paddlers we chose individual kayaks. We were blessed with perfect conditions, the only ripples caused by our paddles and spent the next 3 hours exploring the Lough with Jim as our guide, pointing out the local flora, fauna and surroundings. There is nothing negative to say. Weather perfect, the peace and serenity of the water unspoilt by crowds or motor craft, good company and just the right amount of time on the water. Would wholly recommend Kayakmor and Jim if you are looking for an active few hours in this beautiful part of the world See more..

    Aran Celtic Tours image
Had an excellent experience visiting Inis Mór this past weekend with a group of friends. We decided to take a minibus and Patrick Hernon was our tour guide/bus driver. The bus was in great condition, really comfortable and spacious, with clean windows which is great for picture taking while driving, and Patrick’s narration of the island was great. Along with being an expert, he’s also personable and quite funny! Our whole group loved it. If you’re deciding between a mini bus or a bike tour, they’re the same cost for the day and the bus will make sure you’re to your boat on time (which is a big deal if you’re only going for one day!). Highly, highly recommend Patrick!! See more..

My second time stand up paddle boarding with Sligo Bay SUP and it was just as good as the first time. Went on the lake from Hazelwood Forest the first time and went along the river the second time from Doorly Park and both were very good and very scenic. I’d highly recommend this for small and big groups if you’re looking for a relaxing activity. The instructor Niall is very helpful and will guide you along if you’re a little nervous about it. The paddle boards are very sturdy in the water and you’re unlikely to fall off unless you want to. Life jackets are also provided. I’ll definitely be back again. See more..

    - Wonderful experience for kids , beautiful island & brilliant family business
Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Historical & Heritage Tours • Boat Tours • Walking Tours • Day Trips
    Belmullet Boat Charters image
A holiday in County Mayo would not be complete without a visit to Inishkea with the Lavelles who run Belmullet Boat Charters. I travelled with my family of 2 adults and 2 children (ages 5 & 7). It was the first time our kids had been at sea and the weather was not the best on the mainland so we were worried about bringing our young children. There no need to worry at all as the boat was a super steady catmaran and we were able to watch the huge waves go by with no impact on the boat. When we reached the island, Kea gave us a guided tour - which brought us back in time to imagine what life might have been like for the inhabitants of the island. The kids loved the folklore stories of the Inishkea Island King & Pirates once on the island! After exploring the island we had a picnic on the white sandy beach and went for a paddle in cold but beautiful turquoise waters before we returned to Blacksod. Can’t recommend enough, it was an amazing experience for our kids! See more..
