Connemara and kylmore abbey day tour

We booked the connemara day tour and took the option of visiting Kylemore Abbey as part of the tour . This I highly recommend . Our driver/guide was Gerry , a more knowledgeable guide we could not have had . He was extremely helpful throughout the day . I would reccoment using this company if you are choosing to tour connemara . I do not normally give any company 5 stars but Gerry gave that bit extra so pushing me in all honesty to award 5 star

    Wonderful Day Out From Galway
The tour started at 9 a.m. on August 28 and ended that evening around 7 p.m. It was one of the best and most reasonable tours my husband and I have ever taken. On the trip down the coast, the driver gave us an abbreviated history of Ireland and the people who live there. As we left the bus at the end, I told him he should be a teacher (a high compliment from a retired teacher), because he would make history a joy for students. The tour took a boat out to the Isle of Aran where we had time to take a tour of the island. My husband and I decided we would eat at a local pub, which was delicious and reasonable, and walk around the island. On our way back to the boat, I stopped at a shop selling locally made wool items and bought a lovely hand knitted scarf and hat. The second part of the boat trip was a water view of the Cliffs of Moher, which are 800 feet high! Back on the bus, we made a stop at the visitors center where you could buy some souvenirs or walk out to the edge of the cliffs. On the way back to Galway, the driver stopped at one overlook so we could stretch our legs and take photos of the view of the countryside and the sea. This really was the best tour (mostly because of the driver) we have taken in all of our trips across the pond. Well done!

    Do It!!
Our tour was so great! Alan guided us through each small town and village on the way to the ferry. The tour included ferry fare and a pass to the Cliffs visitor center. Despite the finicky Irish weather, we heard stories and jokes to make up for the cloudy and wet day. This is a great way to see and learn about Ireland.
