Beautiful Food on the way to Keem Bay

One of the most beautiful beaches in the world and delighted to visit many times in August. If your summer adventures are taking you to Achill Island and Keem Bay , I just spend two weeks there , and they most certainly should, then The Rustic Apron at Lourdies in Dooagh Achill on the way to keem bay needs to be on your radar. You can order ahead to ensure you can get a good haul of dishes packed with locally sourced ingredients to eat by the beautiful Atlantic Ocean . Open Wild Atlantic Smoked Salmon and Home-cooked Ham and Cheese Brown Bread Sandwiches. Their homemade sausage rolls are to die for and beautiful Homemade Soup and Brown-bread. Their homemade Brownies and Lemon Drizzle Cake with their Barista Coffee is an unbeatable way to start a day of exploring the stunning Wild Atlantic Way

Most beautiful bay and beach in Ireland
Went to Keem beach in Achill when on a weekend away in Westport. It's about an hour from Westport to Keem and it's well worth the drive on a clear day. It's a drive along a massive cliff road with lots of stopping areas to take in the view. It's one of the most beautiful bay/beaches in Ireland. We did a quick hike up to the old shark look out post. It's a bit tricky with steep climbing conditions but worth every minute. You'd need to be reasonably fit and good footwear and clothing for the job and some water. Views from cliff top are worth it across the bay and ocean facing cliffs. It took us about 1.5hrs from the car park. I definitely recommend a visit to this most rugged and natural of landscape's...

    Beautiful
The drive down to this bay is hair raising, but we’ll worth it. Absolutely beautiful. A rare unspoilt beach. No shops or cafes so make sure you bring drinks etc. public toilets are available
