The lake is endless. We had fish in Margoths restaurant, fresh from the lake. And a beautifull view. I strongly recommend to visit this lake. It’s beautifull and not disturbed by boats or harbors. If you like nature and a great scene with mountains and rainforest around the sea, this is the place to visit beside the Islas de Bahia in Honduras. See more..

Guided hiking trails in El Merendon mountain range. Trails are 2km and an estimated 45 minutes of travel time. San Pedro Sulas only private hiking destination. Recommended times are 8am and 9am to better see wildlife ( toucans, armadillo etc..) We have a look out point of SPS and a swinging bridge as well as San Pedro Sulas only canopy zipline. Once finished with the hike feel free to grab a bite to eat or a freshly made juice to cool down. See more..

Kerim was a fantastic guide with extensive knowledge of Honduras and its history and culture. He went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful time. I spent one week with Kerim and I feel like I got more than what I paid for on the tour. He was very flexible and he never rushed me. We made it to so many beautiful towns while enjoying some of the best food Honduras has to offer on the way. I absolutely loved Honduras and would encourage anyone looking to travel to put Honduras on your list of places to visit and make sure to book your tour with Kerim. Hondurans are warm, polite, and friendly people. Don’t be afraid to visit Honduras, it is totally safe. See more..

Most amazing place I've ever been - so different to anywhere I have ever visited - parts of it reminded us of Jurassic Park! Cerveceria La20 image
I went with my Wife and Son to Celebrate our Anniversary of marriage. We were married 12-12-12 @12. This carried meaning as it was 12–12-20. And we toasted at La 20 in 2020 @ 12 noon. I was real pleased with the selection of Craft Beers. I was hosted by Brewmaster Hector Zelaya in taste testing several Beers. They made my day by having Rye on Tap. The other favorite is IPA. Crisp tasting quality. They offer a Blonde Ale that is very impressive. Top Notch Brewery. See more..
  8. 5.0 Korpus Life (5 reviews)
    - Intuitive massage therapist
Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Spas
The spa offers full packages at extremely reasonable prices, especially if you are coming from overseas. As someone who works in a spa, I can tell you that the owner understands the spa/relaxation business well and has trained the staff accordingly. But my review is more specific and more personal. I am a massage therapist, and also a regular massage client. I just received from Elvia the massage I always hope for when I visit a therapist. I have only once before found someone with her intuition combined with the perfect amount of pressure. Because of my own work, I was able to tell when she found a problem I hadn’t mentioned and was hidden under my mask. Then she targeted the right muscles to relax it. I highly recommend her and suggest you treat yourself to some well-deserved pampering when you visit San Pedro Sula. See more..

  11. 5.0 Bioparque Paradise (1 review)
    - Rain Forrest Paradise
    Parks • Gardens
    Bioparque Paradise image
Overview: This park was significantly larger than I expected. We spent 4 hours hiking all the trails and seeing everything. It's a beautiful location and a must see if you are a nature enthusiast. Bird watchers will want to check out this place in the early morning or book a guided tour from DD Brewery. There is an a array of pristine flora and fauna here and a blue cove that has lovely blue water. It was used as a ceremonial site. Also worth mentioning is this place (and region) is built on Lenca ruins (they predate the Mayans!). Not a lot of archeological sites here but worth mentioning. Every fee was 100 L per person ($4). Getting There: best way to get here is taking a bus (mochito or other) to DD Brewery stop. You can get a moto taxi or just follow signs to DD then to bioparque paradise. 2-3 mile walk on a dirt road. During my recent visit to Honduras I spent the day with some friends who surprised me with this fort. If you do not like history you may not appreciate it, but I love history and end enjoyed every minute of my time here. The fort is well preserved and restored. Hire a guide to get the benefit of the history behind this place. Fort San Fernando was the main fort of the Spaniards on the Caribbean coast of Central America, but I leave the rest of the story for you to enjoy. See more..
  17. 4.5 Joya Grande Zoo y Eco Parque (66 reviews)
    - Great zoo. Lots to do
    Zoos
Joya Grande Zoo y Eco Parque image
The drive to the zoo is about an hour and half from San Pedro sula. The last 9 Kms are on a dirt road but the road is in good condition. There are a lot of great animals and the have a ton of large cats. We learned that a large number of the tigers and jaguars have actually been born there. Part of the zoo is uphill so wear comfortable shoes. They have restaurants to eat lunch and cabins where you can spend the night. They have some activities for an additional fee (horse back riding, hike to some caves, a train ride, canopy). They have some pretty large pools where you can swim. The caves are a 30 mins walk each way. Overall it’s a great place to spend a day and kids have a lot of fun. See more..

  19. 4.5 Parque Nacional Cerro Azul Meambar (29 reviews)
    - One of the most beautiful Protected areas in Honduras...
Spent More than 3 hours National Parks
Parque Nacional Cerro Azul Meambar image
If you love nature, this is one of the best places to visit in Honduras.3 hours drive from Tegucigalpa, or 1.5 hours drive from San Pedro Sula. My suggestion is, you can stay at Panacam Lodge, or in the surroundings areas of Yojoa lake. Once you are in the park, there are short trails to enjoy a little waterfall near the visitor center, or if you are in good shape, you can take the long route...between 7-10 kilometers. Keep an eye out for birds, butterflies, some times you can see snakes, if you don´t like them, don´t touch them. Take your time to enjoy the park, if you want to recover some years, try to take a bath in the pristine waters coming down the mountain...I´m pretty sure your heart and body will be greatful... Miami Garifuna Village image
Located next to ¨Micos Lagoon¨, this village is one of Tela’s most beautiful attractions. Not only because of its amazing ecological beauty but because it holds the culture of the Garifunas. The area holds many activities like boat tours through the lagoon for bird watching and crocodile observation. You can choose to hike in the manglers, eat the traditional meals of the Garifuna people, canoe and even stay at the local lodges. See more..
  21. 4.5 El Bazar del Sabado (11 reviews)

Friday: Spent 1-2 hours Flea & Street Markets
    El Bazar del Sabado image
Well Honey, they beauty products alone was enough for me to come back. It was clean, safe, air-conditioned, 2 floors. I loved it. Quality merchandise for a great price. They take Debit Cards but you should have local currency also for the vendors that don't. The market is open every day for the Christmas Season! We went last year and fell in love with the beauty products, jewelry, chocolate, coffee, leather goods etc. The people were really nice. I'm buying my ticket tonight because we will be going every year for the Christmas market. See more..
  22. 4.5 Transportes Cristina (6 reviews)
    - Safety first
    Bus Services
    Transportes Cristina image
The Cristina bus service specialises in transport to and from La Ceiba. They prioritise safety by having a strong security presence at their terminals. All bags are checked and you are also padded down. This includes at the rest stop just outside of Tela. We found the buses to be comfortable and air-conditioned. The rest stop is a service station and restaurant around halfway/1.5 hours between San Pedro and La Ceiba. Pricing was also reasonable at 125 lempiras from San Pedro to La Ceiba. This is a great option to choose when travelling to La Ceiba. See more..

    Rawacala image
Rawacala Ecopark is 15 minutes from Omoa and is an adventure park where you can canopy, rappel, mountain bike, hike, and birdwatch. Trails are well-maintained and excellent guides. The river is remarkably how green and mossy it is, pack to hike and get wet! See more..
See more..

    - Remembering my Childhood
Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Parks
    Parque Infantil Presentacion Centeno image
Parque Infantil is a large park area with cement made slides and nice swings to play with. It's been part of many Honduras of the San Pedro Sula area, childhood memories. The place is safe to go to and lots of fun for kids of all ages. They have a couple of large slides in which kids sit on a crushed soda bottle or piece of cardboard to go faster down the slide. See more..
  26. 4.5 Iglesia San Vicente de Paul (3 reviews)
    - This is our church
    Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Churches & Cathedrals
An easy place to attend Mass. The church is modernish--mid last century and not historical by any means. But the people are welcoming. It's not where the elite attend Mass. If you simply want to worship, this is a good place to go. See more..
  27. 4.5 Hacienda Tara (2 reviews)
    - Great place to spend a day or afternoon
    Farms
    Hacienda Tara image
The place is an oasis within San Pedro Sula. The park area has a natural pond. We were able to see turtles, huge iguanas and tons of birds. It was fun to see the birds dive into the water to get food. They have a small canoe that you can take and paddle in the pond. The pond is natural so the water is not very clear but it’s still fun to get on the canoe as you are able to see different animals. They have a playground with swings and other games for kids. They also have a fire fit. You can bring food and drinks ( no alcohol involved). The bathrooms are also very clean. It’s a great place to go and have a picnic or enjoy nature. See more..
  28. 4.0 Mercado Guamilito (90 reviews)
    - Fun place to pick up all those gifts
    Speciality & Gift Shops
    Mercado Guamilito image
We walked here from our hotel and had to come back the next day. We found the prices in the center of the market to be a little less than those on the outside borders. All vendors were respectful and not pushy but they did bargain a little. Got some good package deals by putting several things together. This is where I picked up my hammock and some Lenca items. Don't forget to check all the "Tortilla Ladies". Fun way to spend a few hours. See more..
  29. 4.0 Los Naranjos Ecological Park (73 reviews)
    - Accessible and some birds
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Los Naranjos Ecological Park image
Went here from the D&D brewery nearby. The walk through the park with the ruins was ok and there was some interesting birds and a viewing tower to get to canopy level. The boardwalk was accessible but a section of about 100m is now dangerous and out of bounds. The lake is beautiful and we went on a dawn bird watching trip on it which was awesome - this was organised through the D&D brewery again. See more..
