   The oldest theater in San Miguel and now one of the most interesting places to visit any time of the year. There are arts exhibitions, musical concerts, dramas and several performances through the whole year Most of them free.    A long time ago this small church, well known as Capell, was surrounded by the old General Hospital of San Miguel City. It´s a beautiful construction keeping original structure since 1,930 approximately Charity Sisters nuns are in charge of the Chapell and they live next to it.    We spent the day walking around Ciudad Barrios in the footsteps of Monsignor Oscar Romero. A highlight of the day was our stop to the quaint Colonial Church called the "Iglesia Coloníal del Barrio de Roma" (Temple of Rome) The church is not regularly open (we had a local guide open it for us). It is used for special Masses and liturgies, i.e.. Palm Sunday. It is the home church where Monsignor Oscar Romero started his public ministry.
