   Saturday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Paint & Pottery Studios
   Visited last Summer in July with my family and friends. It was about 14 of us. Everyone loved their experience. We learned about El Salvador's famous artist Fernando Llort who happen to die a month after we visited. The place is owned and runned by one of his old art students who teaches his artistry and style. We took a 1-2 hour workshop and painted a little wooden trinket box like his style of paintings. It was so relaxing and we enjoyed every second. You can paint the jewelry box like we did, or some art jewelry or even bigger items as well. They also sold artisan ice cream, which will all enjoyed on the hot day in July. From this place we walked to the famous park in the middle of town, it was about 3 blocks away and got to spend some time there viewing all the beautiful murals of La Palma and there was an outdoor market which we went crazy shopping for artisan jewelry, handbags and more souvenir trinkets that are local to the town. La Palma was a great little town to visit with lots of history and well known for its art. This small town started all the beautiful mural painting that are now seen in many other cities in El Salvador like in Ataco and other small towns. See more..

   Cerro Pital is gorgeous and charming. You will find redheads and even people with blue eyes because there are generations of Spaniards who were isolated here and it is so cute to see freckles in the middle of the mountains of el Salvadort and the people are so friendly and humble.
