- 5.0 Core Pacific City-wide life Plaza (8 reviews)
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM Shopping Malls
See more..
- 4.5 Slender West Lake (844 reviews)
-Shanghai Family to Yangzhou for the weekend
Thursday: 6:30 AM - 5:15 PM Bodies of Water • Historic Walking Areas • Gardens
It is a wonderful lake that offers so much history spanning back to the 7th Century. It is grandiose and I highly recommend taking your family on a boat trip. The gardens are immaculate and there are places for children, we discovered a small petting zoo and a few slides. Therefore we were all entertained sufficiently! See more..

- 4.5 Heyuan Garden (123 reviews)
-The most beautiful spot in Yangzhou-The huge ideal mansion of a sophisticated family
Thursday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Gardens
The traveler really misses something if he doesn't visit this huge mansion, dream residence for many, creation of a super wealthy and sophisticated family. More "Mansion" than "Garden", Heyuan has a unique style that only in "film noirs" you can find. Architecture and exhibits work perfectly to create nostalgic feelings for a past era. Some of its top "hot spots" include The Theatrical Kiosk in the middle of the artificial lake, the "Full Moon" Pool (the full moon is being reflected on its waters day or night due to a clever design trick), the Young Lady's Rooms (when you stand at the Café -at the time of my visit was not in operation- you might listen to some piano music as if the Young Lady was still there, practicing with her piano, the long and unified balconies and other. Entrance fee is 30RMB for the winter season. To be noted that there are many facilities available (Café, Shops, very clean toilets etc). See more..
- 4.5 Yangzhou Dongguan Street (92 reviews)
-Food and entertainment aplenty
Shopping Malls
What a great walking/biking street! Store after store provided plenty of options for shopping, eating and drinking. The entertainment was purely in the people watching! If you are staying close by, take an early morning walk to see the shops begin to open up - its pretty amazing to see the place transform into a hub of activity. See more..

- 4.5 Yangzhou Stone Tower (14 reviews)
-Tang pagoda
Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Ancient Ruins • Architectural Buildings
A pagoda dated back to Tang dynasty, situated in the middle of the road. The original temple was reconstructed and ruined several times but the pagoda survived. A story related with the temple is "bell after meal (饭后钟)." A young and poor intellect in Tang dynasty named Wang Bo (王播) used to feed himself on the temple meals. The monks usually used the bell to summon people to meal but once they finished meal first and then rang the bell to embarrass Wang who came late for the meal on hearing the bell. Wang later became a high official and lived a greedy life until he died of some terminal disease. See more..

-A Tranquil Garden in China! Amazing!
Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM History Museums
There was no one here when I visited mid-day on a saturday, and I truly appreciated that. The garden is not the best in China, but it is still very pretty and I enjoyed sitting in it for a while BY MYSELF without the pulse of Chinese tourists around me. See more..
- 4.5 Guanyin Mountain of Yangzhou (9 reviews)
Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Mountains
See more..
- 4.5 Runyang Bridge (7 reviews)
-A fantastic bridge.
Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Bridges
This bridge was opened many years ago and I was there when it opened. Did pass this bridge may times and everytime it is something that makes you happy to see this huge massive construction. Visit the island in between and have a drink in the hotel. See more..
- 4.5 Double Museum (7 reviews)
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Observation Decks & Towers
See more..
- 4.5 Erfen Moon Tower (3 reviews)
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Architectural Buildings
See more..
- 4.0 Daming Temple (82 reviews)
-Commercial Temple
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Religious Sites
This temple is extremely large. However, it does not seem to be maintained well. Plants are withering all over the temple. Next, the temple requires both an entrance fee, and a fee which is needed to be paid, if you wish to visit the pagoda, which is clearly the main attraction of the temple. Worth a visit if you want to know more about the history of China. There is a souvenir shop in the temple, and many washrooms are situated around the temple. However, the washrooms all stink, and are clearly only cleaned once a blue moon. See more..
- 4.0 Yangzhou Eight Weird Memorial Hall (32 reviews)
-see the canal
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM History Museums
If you are heading for Nanjing, you might as well visit Yangzhou where the famed Yangzhou fried rice got its name but be warned, fried rice with the same name may taste better; actualy the name does not actually suggest the dish actually came from this city. The city, like Xiaoqing and Zhengjiang, is famed for the canal and the lake there. As well, see the landscaped gardens such as He Yuan ( Garden of Mr. He). You do not need to go to Hangzhou or Suzhou to see such landscaped gardens. To tour the city, you could join a tour; often visitors are touted into a 'trip' by locals who claim you do not need to pay for the entrance fee. My suggestion is Honesty is the best policy; pay for the entrance fee and travel trouble free and with peace of mind. See more..
- 4.0 The Ancient Canal (29 reviews)
-The best of Chinese engineering in the past and present
Bodies of Water
Impessive sight to see the multi-shipladder in the Grand Canal, a 1776 km long canal with the oldest parts since 500 BC. Worth seeing, though our guide only spoke Chinese, we saw the ships going between lakes. The lake were however turbid, indicating severe pollution. This wold know landmark well worth visiting. See more..
- 4.0 Yangzhou Royal Wharf (28 reviews)
-Enjoying your tea on a boat or land or simply have a walk.
Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Marinas
This place is easier to spot, if you make reference about Yechun Garden. Yeachun Garden and Royal Wharf are next to each other and the former is not really a Garden but a yard and complex of buildings for artists or people that want to enjoy their tea (on a boat during summer time), have a walk next to the canal or simply sit down and relax in one of the beautiful corners of this area. Since it is near Tianning Temple and Shi Kefa Memorial and there is no fee for accessing, it is recommended to have a visit and take your photo there. See more..
- 4.0 Museum of Han Guangling King (17 reviews)
-A taste of ancient China
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality Museums
This was one of the few places on our China tour where we were able to get a sense of ancient, pre-Buddhist China. The tomb reconstruction is interesting, as are the exhibits on the surrounding walls, mostly labeled in passable English. A highlight is the jade burial suite of the ancient king See more..
- 4.0 Beijing-hangzhou Grand Canal (16 reviews)
-Charming cruise
Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Historic Sites
We visited here on a tour in August 2019. The cruise down the canal was relaxing and interesting. We were able to move to the front of the boat to get better photos throughout the cruise. There were lanterns along the banks of the canal and glimpses into the lifestyle of the locals in the area. We were unable to see the full length of the canal due to a typhoon and change of itinerary, but I would recommend taking a tour down this canal for the serenity and charm. See more..
- 4.0 Wang's Little Garden (14 reviews)
-sad history
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Gardens
Home of a former salt merchant it is sad how this home has been ransacked of the valuables and left an empty shell. .. if you compare it to the other GeYuan and HeYuan, of course, how much of the stuff now displayed in those gardens/homes were from here I wonder. See more..
- 4.0 Twenty-four Bridges (13 reviews)

this seems to be a magnet for the Chinese. I am glad we took the time to walk over the bridges and see the lake area. Yes it is crowed but what isn't in China See more..
- 4.0 Zhuyuwan Scenic Spot (Yangzhou Zoo) (10 reviews)
-Loved seeing the panda
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
We went to the zoo one Saturday, as with all the attractions in Yangzhou, get there early as it really busies up later on in the day. We saw the solitary panda, red pandas, kangaroos and flamingos. We really went to see the panda and were not disappointed would like to see these in Chengdu. See more..
- 4.0 Former Residence of Zhu Ziqing (9 reviews)
-A nice place in the city to be and so quiet.
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Historic Sites
This is a place to just see what China was and is. The "old" hotel has all kind of facilities to facilitate very large groups. Just walk in the garden and see how this quiet area is beloved by the visitors. You may have interest to go to the teahouse. This is a traditional Chinese teahouse and you must take your time. The "new" hotel has all Western comfort and the walking dinner is of a good quality See more..
- 4.0 Gaomin Tenple (6 reviews)
-Escape the bustling city, if you have time to spare
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM Religious Sites
If you're into the details, every Chinese temple is unique in its own way. If you're not... see one Chinese temple, see them all. Gaomin Temple is still undergoing restoration works, but it's a quiet, open area outside of Yangzhou, where you can relax away from the bustling city center. Our Chinese-speaking friends had a quick but warm conversation with a monk about the temple and the construction works. For those of us not quite fluent in Mandarin, we got to burn incense at the main altar. Maybe because we visited in the middle of Summer, this place is definitely not crowded. We had it all to ourselves, and paid for this privilege with sweat. There's not a lot of shade, and we didn't see any shops, so if you're visiting in Summer DO bring water. See more..
- 4.0 Golden Eagle international Shopping Center (dawen River Road) (6 reviews)
-Such a nice shopping centre in the town.
Shopping Malls
On the ground floor you will have a lot of small shops, the second floor has bigger stores and also some restaurants. People are very helpfull See more..
- 4.0 the Lu's Salt Merchant House (3 reviews)
-A combination of Attraction and Restaurant
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Architectural Buildings
The Lu Family's Salt Merchant House is a combination of attraction and restaurant. As restaurant it is open 3 times per day and between those it is open as an attraction. Of course, the visitor could see it as an attraction and have look in a mansion of a wealthy family of salt merchants with yards, gardens, alleys, halls etc and have an idea about the beauty of traditional Chinese Architecture but it is better to 'see' it as a restaurant with the name "Lu Shi Gu Zhai". It is best to visit it during dinner time when it is decorated with the lit red lanterns and taste some local dishes of Jiangsu Province. Overall it is recommended but have in mind that communication for the ones who do not speak Chinese might have some problems. See more..
- 3.5 Wenchangge Building (25 reviews)
-A good Landmark for the western border of the center of Yangzhou
Monuments & Statues
Although this Pagoda is a simple construction, it is a useful landmark especially for foreigners and tourists since it marks the western border of old Yangzhou. The most attractions of the center of Yangzhou as well as many of today's shops are located in the area between this building in the West and Grand Canal/ Dongguan Street in the East. See more..
- 3.5 Phoenix lsles (15 reviews)
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Islands • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Beach & Pool Clubs
See more..
