   While locals recommended Zhouzhuang (which I went to as well) I found Jinxi a quaint water town less congested with tourists when I went. Beautiful flowers, fabulous boat rides with the locals and an overall feel of the love the man who built this area up for his concubine had. Definitely worth the visit! Beautiful! See more..

    As far as Chinese attractions go, this is a nice one: it's old and has a nice atmosphere. As far as water towns go, it is tiny: just a few canals that cross each other. There are shops and wedding picture businesses but not that many restaurants of cafes so it's really not for hanging out. You can see every corner of the place in just a few hours.     As we live in Kunshan we have visited this park on a couple of occasions, it is only 20 yuan to enter & has the only hill in Kunshan which has a nice view once you've climbed up the steps. Lots of nice areas including the small lake which you can take a boat out for 50 yuan for 30mins. There was a small theme park but this was dismantled.
