  2. 4.5 Green Park Shipbuilding Museum and Yeo House (31 reviews)
    - Very informative if you take the guided tour

Green Park Shipbuilding Museum and Yeo House image
The first building to see is the Shipbuilding museum. There are a few artifacts and details surrounding them in this small exhibit. It’s there because James Yeo built ships around PEI and lived in the house next door. The schoolhouse is also there, but is one room with a few desks in it. The Orwell Village has a better example of a schoolhouse. The real attraction here is the Yeo House, where a wealthy family lived with their servants. There are many artifacts to see throughout and it’s a great display of many technologies of the time. The guided tour goes a few times a day (last one at 3:30) and is definitely worth timing your trip for. The guide was extremely informative and interesting, with tales of haunted toys, explanations of the objects throughout and a great sense of how these people lived was given. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. See more..
