- 5.0 Frontiers North Adventures (146 reviews)
-Great experience! One in a life time.
Eco Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
My mom and I went on the Adventurer Town and Tundra tour and loved our week in Churchill. We took the train from Canora SK which was a great option for us coming from Saskatoon. We really appreciated that FN offers a variety of options for tour packages so we were able to pick something that worked for our timeline and budget which was perhaps quite different than other tourists. While some elements were limited, overall we felt very safe and had great interactions with the staff. The smaller group sizes was a real bonus for us. We learned so much on our tours and really felt like we connected with the community and locals. We loved that this company employs locals and has a real heart in the community. See more..
- 5.0 Wapusk Adventures (106 reviews)
-Remarkable experience
Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Sightseeing Tours
We just finished a morning visit to the Team Wapusk international dog sledding station about 15 minutes south of Churchill. Dave, Wyatt, Danielle and their 20 or 30 or more dogs, who greeted us at our arrival with great fanfare and joyous howls. It was a pleasant 20°C when we arrived, not perfect dog sledding weather but just cool enough to allow us to experience the thrill of being pulled by 10 very excited sled dogs. It was amazing how enthusiastic the dogs were for their work and the speed they achieved over the mike and a half circuit. Dave Daley (AKA Big Dog) loves his dogs and it's infectious! He entertained us with dog lore, dog facts, dog psychology, dog cuisine, doggie personality profiles, canine politics in addition to the dog cart ride through the forest. When you are in Churchill do a tour with Wapusk. See more..
- 5.0 Sea North Tours (87 reviews)
-Epic Excursions
Boat Tours
If you are looking to get up close and personal with the amazing wildlife in Churchill this is the company you want to use! Our family of 7 booked 3 seperate tours including: zodiak with belugas, whales and fort tour, and kayaking with whales. We definitely had a blast, and managed to spot whales, seals, and polar bears during our excursions. Our guide Alex was knowledgeable, freindly and keen to get us the best views possible. The company provides timely shuttles, and is centrally located in it's sister company The Polar Inn (highly reccommend that you stay here!). Safety for humans and animals was very important and this company is the only one in operation in Churchill that uses prop guards to keep the whales safe from propellors. Don't hestitate, these are the guys you want to use! See more..
- 5.0 Manitoba Theatre Centre (MTC) (85 reviews)
-You will like it, as it is!
Spent 2-3 hours Theaters
The current production running at Manitoba theatre centre is a delight - from 20 minutes prior to the start of the production, proper, all the way to its end. I was hesitant at first to purchase tickets for “As you Like it” simply because I was not already familiar with the plot line. Well, I am so glad I was not deterred by that fact! The show was lively, fast paced, delightfully funny, and beautifully staged. The performers are a actors, singers, and multi instrumentalists. I have seen shows before which were touted as showcasing such diversely capable performers but usually one aspect was sacrificed. Not so in this case. The Shakespearean script was used and slightly tweaked to make it engaging and well- paced. The inclusion of numerous Beatles songs was simply the icing on the cake. A joyful experience for the audience, to be sure. Just remember to arrive early enough to experience the wrestling. Yes, wrestling. See more..

Located in the north-west side of the Park, the garden was created as a result of Dr. Mol’s generous gift of his wonderful bronze pieces and works of art to the community in which he lived. The garden is also home to the Leo Mol Gallery, featuring works by the gifted artist, and the Leo Mol School House Studio. - 4.5 Itsanitaq Museum (431 reviews)
-Must see for native crafts and culture
Friday: 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM History Museums
Small but extremely informative museum, packed with artefacts from native peoples. As I wrote, it is small but you can easily spend hours there, as there is a lot of items. The staff is at hand to provide explanations. Make this a stop if you visit Churchill. We visited as part of an organised tour so not sure if the place has free entry - but in any case, it is very much worth paying an entry fee. It has a small gift shop too. See more..

- 4.5 Grand Beach Provincial Park (266 reviews)
-White Sand Beach in Manitoba!
Beaches • Parks
I hadn’t been to Grand Beach for many years and I forgot how nice the beach was. Powdery white sand beach that can definitely compete with many beaches in the Caribbean. Grand Beach is 3 kms, long enough for walking. The dunes are pretty cool too. The water is very shallow with lots of sandbars. We went in the middle of the week to avoid the crowd and set up on the east side because the west side is the busier part of the beach. A little over an hour drive from north Winnipeg just off Hwy 59. Entrance fee is $9.50 per vehicle. There’s washroom facilities. Food & beverage are located on the west side of the beach. See more..

- 4.5 Riding Mountain National Park (264 reviews)
-Typical in Ontario or Quebec but astounding for a Prairie park!
National Parks • Hiking Trails
I would rate this based on the local surroundings, and this is a Prairie mountain which is pretty unique and breaks the stereotype of Manitoba being flat. The park hosts a lot of fun trails, but during our visit we just stayed within the Clear Lake area. We hiked the Ominnik Marsh trail as well part of the Lakeshore trail. Riding Mountain and Prince Albert are very similar in nature in which it's essentially a forest with a large-ish lake in the middle with a lakefront town at one of its sides. Clear Lake truly lived up to its name. It is indeed absolutely clear! Would dare for you to witness how clear the water is as well! The visitor centre was informative and sells Parks Canada swag. Plenty of parking when we went, but prolly it was because it was cooler than normal when we visited. See more..
- 4.5 Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site (233 reviews)
-top of the pops
Historic Sites • Parks
Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site of CanadaHistory will unfold before your eyes at this restored 19th century fort where costumed staff recreate the 1850s in the Red River Valley. Come and meet the Governor of the Hudson’s Bay Company as he strolls through his garden, barter with the company clerk, sit in a tipi and listen to the whispers of ancient legends, and touch the coarse fur of a bison hide at the oldest stone fur trading post in North America – or, if you prefer, scour the fort for clues in a family scavenger hunt. There is something here for the whole family.Living-history programs run mid-May – Labour Day, 9:00 – 5:00 daily. Don’t forget to ask us about our Halloween and Christmas programs. The site is open to groups year-round for tours, weddings or meetings by pre-booking. See more..
- 4.5 Kildonan Park (231 reviews)
-Hands down the most underrated park in Winnipeg.
Parks
Hands down the most underrated park in Winnipeg. This is one of my favourite places in the city. Excellent area surrounding it (West Kildonan), perfect for a stroll during daylight or after dark. The pond area has some really cool light fixtures. I highly recommend going for a nighttime walk, nobody seems to go here at night and it is incredibly peaceful. Has an outdoor pool, tons of fire pits, Rainbow Stage, the Witches Hut, a field for sports, toboggan slides, a flower garden and the pond becomes an outdoor skating rink in the winter. The pavilion also houses a really good restaurant. Can't say enough about this park. See more..

We have been coming to Tinkertown yearly with our kids since our oldest was 3 (she is now 12). I love that there are new improvements each year. My kids love the bigger rides and still ask to go every summer. I have to give a shout out to Management. We employ young students at our business and the staff here at a Tinkertown has always stood out to me. They are polite and kind young adults. I’ve always been super impressed. See more..
- 4.5 Great White Bear Tours (155 reviews)
-Exceeded our expectations
4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
What a wonderful experience this Natural Habitat tour was! The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the flora, fauna and local people and customs. The Polar Rovers used have six wheels, while all other companies have only four. I assume this makes for a more stable ride. The biggest selling point is the tour is limited to 16 people (while the Rover holds 32) which assures all guests of a window seat. Our driver (Robert) provides exceptional customer service and had lived there many years, adding to the great information shared. See more..
