   We were on a road trip early October in this area of Prince Edward Island, and came across this nice visitor centre. There's good parking, and it's located right next to a small wetland to take a little stroll. Staff were very friendly and helpful with their advice for exploring this region. Over the days of our time in PEI, we had noticed that a number of the visitor centres had already closed, but were so glad this one had stayed open a bit longer than the rest! See more..

   Wandering the trails through this PEI National park to the sea is a great way to spend a half day (or more). I am sure that the ambiance changes with the weather to make each visit unique, there are two trails and boardwalks, one to St. Peter’s bay and the other to Greenwich Beach. Relatively flat and well groomed so an easy walk for all. The beach is spectacular and walkable and when I went in July the bayside walk had a myriad of wildflowers.    Hubby and I (2 over 50's people) tried out the escape room that they have at the St. Peters Courthouse Theatre. First off, please know that neither of us has done an escape room before so cannot compare this to others. We however really enjoyed ourselves. The day was very hot so we appreciated that the Theatre (where the escape room is set up) was air-conditioned. We didn't "escape the room" but we did make it through several of the puzzles/clues so felt very proud of ourselves. If you are looking for something to kill an hour or so in the area, would suggest checking this out for yourselves. See more..
