We were fortunate to have a glorious day in October. The boat ride and info provided by the biologists on board was worth the price of admission. We did see minke whales, seals, a tuna, and bald eagles. The captain did a great job of maneuvering for optimal viewing. And we got to spend some time with the Old Sow and her piglets! Very nice, all in our group enjoyed it and we were diverse in our interests and abilities. See more..

  18. 4.5 Chamcook Mountain (10 reviews)
    - Our experience
    Mountains
    Chamcook Mountain image
We stayed at the Algonquin Inn for one night and while we were there decided to hike to the top of Chamcook mountain. It was a beautiful day, sunny not to hot with a mild breeze to keep the mosquitoes at bay. The hike to the top is about 1.5km with a steady mild grade. The path is well maintained and identified you won’t get lost getting to the top. The trip to the top is all tree covered and I would imagine very beautiful to navigate during the fall when Mother Nature decides to display her various colours. There is some history to take in as well about the trail to the top and who travelled it. Along with previous and present owners mentioned as well. It’s free to navigate all they ask is to respect the area. The views at the top are spectacular and so you won’t be disappointed as long as visibility is good (no fog etc.). Well worth the trip I certainly will be back for another visit! See more..
