    Beech Hill Park image
Very easy detour off the highway. This park is popular year round for walking on flat, groomed trail loops through a lovely wooded area. Access in winter is usually good as well, and it's a good location for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Some vistas overlook Silver Lake, an early mill pond that has been maintained as a recreation area, and the Tantramar Marsh off in the distance. Lots of rabbits and squirrels if you're observant, and chanterelle and lobster mushrooms too. See more..
  10. 4.5 Fog Forest Gallery (6 reviews)
    - A must for browsing and buying
    Speciality & Gift Shops
Fog Forest Gallery is a small, intimate gem. The exhibits change regularly, but always feature local artists whose work includes many media- painting, photography, collage, sculpture, and pottery. No Christmas in our house is festive without a gift from the gallery; every visitor to town gets a tour of it; no Saturday downtown is complete without going into Fog Forest. One of the things that makes it so special is Janet Crawford, the owner. Janet's friendliness ensures a warm welcome to everyone who walks in. There's no pressure to buy, but Janet is generous with information and background about the pieces she sells and the artists themselves. A delight!!! See more..

    Boultenhouse Heritage Centre image
New Brunswick boasts a strong shipbuilding tradition. Visitors to Sackville can explore this aspect of the province’s industrial past at the Boultenhouse Heritage Centre, named after the town’s most prolific shipwright, Christopher Boultenhouse. The Centre consists of three buildings — a farmhouse built by the Bulmer family ca. 1790 which is the first frame and oldest house in Sackville, a house built in the Greek revival style in 1842 by Boultenhouse, and the Anderson Octagonal House ca. 1855 by sea captain Georg Anderson. The Centre has several exhibit rooms, a gift shop, a research and genealogy centre, and a multipurpose meeting room. See more..

  13. 4.5 Sackville Farmers Market (3 reviews)
    - A Market Paradise
    Farmers Markets
Although this market is not large - the vendors that are there are the best - i.e. quality of food and other items - and we particularly like and frequent this market because of the number of organic farmers who come to it every Saturday. There is everything at the market that you could possibly want - including fresh vegetables, meats, fish, fruit, cheeses and who can forget the bake goods. Also, there are many vendors that sell delightful breakfasts and meals originating from various cultural backgrounds. We make our Saturday trip to the market an overall event by not only going to the market but also visiting some of our favorite shops in the downtown Sackville. Try it - I'm sure you'll enjoy it as we do. See more..

  15. 2.0 Colville House (1 review)
    - Improvement required
    Speciality Museums
it is a house and its fun to see that Colville leave there. But if they had inside a permanent exposition of the paintings that the Owen Museum have... It would then become one of the biggest attraction of New Brunswick. And think this is what is missing to make it great. See more..
