  17. 4.5 Lutz Mountain Heritage Museum (12 reviews)
    - Great People, Great Experience!
    History Museums
    Lutz Mountain Heritage Museum image
I follow this venue on Facebook, and I have wanted to visit for years - I’m English, but have family heritage from Moncton. Having written ahead, I had an interesting appointment with the museum’s wonderful genealogist - Betty - who also shed plenty of light on the amazing Muriel Lutes Sikorski. Muriel was a very impressive local businesswoman! I was then shown around the museum exhibits by a lovely, engaging and funny lad called Max, who was ably assisted by his equally lovely colleague, Kate. They’re all such warm, generous people, with a genuine love for their work and environment. The exhibits themselves benefit by not being hidden behind glass, and as they are in the natural setting of a lovingly restored old church, you can really feel the history and imagine how it was for local people “back in the day”. Entrance was free, but I was very, very happy to make a donation. Highly recommended! See more..

A tidal Bore is a tidal phenomenon in which the leading edge of an incoming tide forms a standing wave of water that travels upstream, against the current of a river or narrow bay. The tidal bore in Moncton is caused when the unparalleled tides in the Bay of Fundy begin to make their way up the historic Petitcodiac River. The Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides in the world and over 160 billion tonnes of water comes in and out of the bay each day! Twice daily, observers can watch the tidal bore as this incoming rush of water overtakes the outgoing tide in the formerly placid river. See more..

My wife had an event to attend in Moncton so I decided to check out the new arena for a hockey game. Great place to watch a hockey game. Only cons would be is the parking, I was staying at the delta so I was safe this time. Drinks and food are way over priced. I probably should have ate before I went. I would go again if I am staying downtown See more..
