This is a worthwhile stop if you are travelling through. You can't find this anywhere else in the world so it is well worth the time to drive through this bridge. Also Hartland is a nice little town so stop and look around while in Hartland. See more..

We were able to buy t-shirts and other small Hartland/New Brunswick souvenirs to take back home to family in Texas. People were friendly and helpful. See more..
  3. 4.0 Covered Bridge Golf & Country Club (5 reviews)
    - If you want to play a pretty and quite challenging course stop here!
    Golf Courses
Great spot to play. We stopped here on our way back from another 14 day golf journey east. Very nice course very picturesque and well maintained and playable. Tough greens and a little hilly but the views were fabulous. They play well into the local longest covered bridge theme with their own cart bridge on 17. Well established course very affordable and they serve a nice lunch in their restaurant. See more..

I'd driven by this place so many times en route to my east coast destination, I finally decided to stop. Glad I did! I'd never really thought about what does into the making of potato chips aside from the obvious... potatoes. A self-directed tour through the factory was surprisingly interesting. Did you know potato chips were invented in 1853 in Saratoga Springs NY... and were a phenomenon solely in the US until 1921, when they were introduced in England? Or that Herman Lay popularized the snack by selling packages from the trunk of his car to US grocers in the 1920s... thereby establishing Lays as the first successful national brand? Or that chips pass through a metal detector before they're bagged? Or that nitrogen is what keeps them fresh in the bag? (tidbits of trivia you can use if you're stuck for conversation at your next office party.) The tour was $5, well worth it. And bonus! They hand you a bag of fresh potato chips at the end. Delicious!
